Not too far from the lovely town of Brattleboro, Kampfires creates a destination. We were tucked just under some trees. There’s mini golf, a pool, an ice cream shop, and even a food truck that opens up. We enjoyed our ice cream outside while listening to a string quartet play and sing.

On certain days in season, the local beer pub has a food truck parked at the entrance, so if you don’t feel like cooking, that’s a nice option. We were there in the fall, so we did the take full advantage of the facilities. Entrance to the campground is protected by a security gate that requires a code to enter, so we felt particularly safe.BUT the best feature of this place is the amazing WiFi connection. We were far away from the office and ancillary buildings, yet had fast and dependable connectivity. The owners said that they had just overhauled and upgraded the entire system, It’s about a 10 minute drive to Brattleboro, and supermarkets etc. are closer than that. All in all, we will be coming back here again!

Our first camping experience and it was wonderful, Park is very clean, from the grounds, bathrooms and pool area. The grandkids loved the pool, putt putt and of course the ice cream!! We also enjoyed the Whetstone Food truck and there was a Cajun Festival with live music! We couldn’t have asked for more. We will be back.

We had a great stay at Kampfires. They have so much to offer. Especially for families. Swimming, putt putt golf, safe places for kids to run around and ride their bikes, ice cream and a Brewery food truck. Conveniently located just north of Brattleboro and close to a great farm store that sell fresh fruits and vegetables.

What an adorable campground! It was pretty close to level and right across from a huge grassy field for the kids to run around. Nice space between campers. Pool was a nice plus and laundry was clean and worked! Wish we would have stayed longer.

We stay here every year. Normally we come here in the spring and fall only, but this year due to Covid we will spend time throughout the summer and fall time. Clean and Quiet little campground plenty to do, so relaxing. Looking forward to our next trip here!

Stayed for one night on our way back to CT. Park only about 20% full given COVID-19 travel restrictions. Well maintained, clean appearance. Nice, new inground pool. RV sites close together - only negative. Sites out in back of campground surrounding grass field are in the woods and very tent like.

Found this place on a whim just wanted to get away. The sites are very large, we have a 40’ Class A and a toad, nice and flat, FHU with cable and fantastic water pressure. It was clean, well maintained, and a pleasant experience.

Amy was amazing on helping and changing our Reservations when I called the office. She admitted that are new at this ownership of the CG, but you couldn't tell. The campground you can tell is new and they are trying their hardest to update and make it family friendly. We had full hookup without any problems. The kids loved the pool and playground and were there a lot (ages 5,13 and 16). Especially loved the little Ice cream stand (Scoops) that is attached to the resort. We were unable to play on their cool looking Mini-golf course, maybe next time. We would come back if we are in the area. It is also real close to New Hampshire and also the little town of Brattleboro. the con I might have is we wish the firepit was alittle bigger. bout we like a big campfire to relax around. If you have a pet, they have an awesome dog park on there grounds and also they had a local food truck. Great Job Amy!! hope this season is won't hurt them that bad with all this crazy Covid.

We can’t say enough good things about this park! Gorgeous, clean, beautiful!!! Loved the dog run, loved fact that they had poop bags and garbage cans all over. Great place to walk and do laps. Internet speed perfect!! We stayed one night on a passport America’s rate. Level gravel sites, close to many things to do in Vermont.

BUT they have ice cream! We liked the ice cream. We were in site B12 and had tent campers pretty much in our site with us in B13. They were very nice but it was odd. And some of the sites do not have cable. Ours was one of the sites that didn’t.We wouldn’t stay here again unless it was just for a night, maybe, probably not though.

Our site (and all the others ones we saw) was un-level in all directions. We had to settle with just about level. The sites are gravel with grass/weeds growing. The road is paved near the office but is gravel throughout the park. The interior roads are tight in turns for large RVs towing. Directv worked fine in our site which is good because there is no cable or over the air channels. The WII FI worked okay but would drop you often so you had to log back on. Verizon was 4g 3bars so we used our hotspots. They have a (pretty dirty) putt putt (for a fee), a playground, and pool. They sell ice cream, beer and wine. There was also a food cart setup when we were there selling beer and various grilled items. It was quiet at night. Very little value for the price paid. We won’t return.

When we arrived we were able to choose site 63 which was flat and had full hook ups. Unfortunately, once we hooked up we learned that the electric at the site didn't work. The office moved us to site 67 which wasn't very level, had trash all over it from the previous campers, fire ring was full of ash and there was a rug and a bunch of kitty litter left in the parking area. Our site also smelled like sewer the entire time.We checked out the bathrooms and they were dirty and didn't like they had been cleaned for days. We needed to do laundry and those too were in extremely rough shape and the tubs looked like they had rust in them so beware! We opted to wait on laundry so that we didn't take the chance of ruining our clothes. Not exactly sure how the pool and mini golf work.. we got a voucher so I believe you might have to pay to use both of them after you use your voucher. Only bright side was the ice cream stand they have on the premises! We will not be staying here again.
