Our Great Dane and Shiba Inu enjoyed taking walks to the nearby waterfall and the open field. Good place also for working remotely. Nearby there is a really good local supermarket. Also, Go to Barton Bakery. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back!

Okay so…the campground is beautiful, the owners are nice, and lots of attractions nearby, but if you are looking for a place lax on their “rules” this is not your place. Rules being followed we completely respect, but keep an eye on the clock because at 10:01 if you aren’t light outs, music shutdown, you will have a visit by the owners. With that being said it’s still a great campground, especially during the day or as a home base for exploring the area.

We took our first trip in our 23ft RV and arrived a bit early. That was no problem as we were allowed to go to our site. The site was clean and we had no issues. Very quiet campground.

The hosts David & Tara are extremely nice and are always busy working on making everyone comfortable and the place even nicer. This is one of the quietest campgrounds we’ve ever been to. The WIFI is strong enough and stable enough for video chats and streaming. Almost nightly we took the easy short walk down the hill to swim or paddle in Crystal Lake. On weekdays we would take the 10 min drive to Lake Willoughby which is awesome. Also got in a couple of days of blueberry picking up the road. Definitely can’t say enough good things about this place. COVID review. Everyone was very respectful and wore masks when walking around. On our last day they opened up for tent campers and we saw 2.

Owners David and Tara are super friendly and easy to get ahold of. Crystal Lake was perfect for a swim when it was hot (3 minute walk!) and plenty of hiking options close by (Mt Pisgah, 15 min drive). C&C grocery is a 5 min drive so we had all we needed close by - the only real down side is that there are no laundry facilities on site and the closest laundromat was 25 minutes away...so we skipped it altogether. Can't comment on bathrooms or bathrooms cause I didn't use em - showers are coin operates and hubby said toilets were on the small side space wise. WiFi strength is great - we both work remote so this was important for us!
