The sites are well manicured and we had a grassy area for our chairs that the kids loved playing on. We have a 39’ TT and were on a paved pull-through spot. We decided to stay 2 nights to explore ZNP and the office was extremely helpful, they gave us a map and let us know which trails might be more kid-friendly as we have a 2 and 5 year old in tow. The river is right next to the RV park that we enjoyed exploring and found lots of minnows and tadpoles. Excellent pool and hot tub that we made use of both days we were there. Convenience store/gift shop on site that we were able to utilize for RV supplies/snacks/beer.Would absolutely return.

This is a very nice full-service RV resort that offers a variety of pull-through and back-in sites, and cabins. The sites are 50amp FHU, fairly long, and have nice spacing between sites. The park is pristine and offers a large inviting pool and hot tub, laundry room, playground, dog runs, propane fill station, and a real lodge with lots of apparel, home goods, ice, beer and other beverage choices. There is access to the Virgin River from the campground. We really enjoyed our stay here just minutes from Zion and other local attractions. The only downside was wifi coverage if you have Verizon. This was spotty and one bar at most. We highly recommend this RV resort. To see videos on this campground and others, visit our YouTube channel: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.

We stayed in May of this year. The park was clean and well organized. 20 minutes from Zion. Spots super close together and not much room for truck parking. Road is narrow making for difficulties. No Verizon service and wifi next to worthless. We would look for another park in the future.

We had a different campground reserved (hipcamp) we were unable to get to due to road conditions. We called ahead and Beth was fantastic and held the last spot (101) for us. They found us another spot for the next 2 nights (#61). The campground was well protected from the high winds in the area. Everyone was always extremely friendly and helpful! The campground is immaculately maintained. The showers and bathroom were very clean. There is a dog run but it is very small. Everyone was very dog friendly and loved our dog. Tons of dogs all over and a kitty one camper over. The only thing is that there is no Verizon reception in the whole area. They put a booster at the office and are in the process of adding fiber optic.Would immediately stay there again!

During this COVID-19 situation, the park was full.We had to switch sites... no problem. The only downsides are:Way too many dogs on and off leash (and we have 2 dogs ourselves!)Way too many people NOT practicing any kind of "social distancing/no masks" (the staff were compliant with safety regs).Way too many national/political "lawn signs" all over the park. Which is a distraction no matter which political way you lean.And....NO Verizon cell service/ a dead zone. The front desk said that AT&T is OK...since there is a visible tower across the river about a half mile away.Other than that, close to the towns of Springdale and Hurricane, which is very convenient.

But we had a toad (our little Honda Fit) and we preferred just driving the 16 miles or so from Virgin to the park and being able to camp in one of the nicest parks you'll find. We had read that Zion River Resort was a great place to stay. And it truly is. I have only one significant complaint. But first, the good:1) The lots are huge. Very wide and with lovely grass and gravel. Everyone gets a grassy area. The concrete pad is very level.2) The hookups are great. I get so frustrated when parks put the water hookup really low to the ground and you can barely get your hose hooked up. No such issue here. Electric is great, as was sewer. Just want you want.3) The clubhouse / gift shop is nice. Basic stuff, but also some nice gift items. And beer! (In Utah!!) Everyone was friendly.4) When you first pull in there are several clearly marked, LARGE lots for "check in". Although with COVID, there was no check in process, we used this spot to unhitch our toad so that we could get to our spot more easily.5) Being near the Virgin River is great. What a peaceful place to visit. And the one downside. There is virtually no cell signal in Virgin. Certainly not enough to even begin to create a hot spot. There is wifi (and we even had a booster on our site)...but there was still terribly connectivity. We could , in the early morning, check our email and such. In the evening, forget it. No streaming, no surfing. Being out of touch with the world is fine, but it's still nice to be able to do some last minute park research, touch base with the kids and post some photos on Facebook. Most of that was impossible during the 3 nights we spent here. We've stayed at many humbler parks and had no issue with connecting and streaming. Not sure what Zion River Resort could do to improve things, but they should do it. Probably need more than one source of wifi.HOWEVER, this was a friendly, peaceful, lovely place. We'd stay again without hesitation.

When I was planning my trip early on I thought I had made my reservation at a nearby campground just outside the entrance to Zion National Park. I finished a long hike in Zion and was ready to get situated for the night late afternoon and night and pulled into the other campground. I checked my email to confirm the space number and kept driving around to find it. After about 10 minutes of that nonsense I pulled over and parked and re-read the entire pre arrival email. I discovered then I was at the wrong place. So back on to the road and West I went. When I finally arrived at Zion River Resort its appeared to be 10x nicer than the other. It was better maintained, nicely landscaped, signs clearly posted, roads easily navigable, sites clearly marked. I found my spot in no time and backed in. Spot 111 is against the pool. If you want peace and quiet you might consider a spot further away from the pool or maybe not use a campground at all, frankly. I didn’t mind the background noise of kids playing and laughing and people talking on the pool deck. Quiet time starts at 10pm so after then I noticed no excessive noise. By the way capacity limits were in place for both pool and store and from what I could tell were being adhered to. The store/checkin staff was very friendly and helpful. The showers were probably the cleanest I’ve experienced at a campground. The wifi was a little spotty, but I had decent LTE reception. I walked the park and met someone who was renting a converted Mercedes Benz Sprinter Cargo van which I’ve been looking into doing myself. While social distancing we chatted for awhile and he showed me the van. Awesome stuff. The campground is next to a river. It was cool to check that out but didn’t stay out there long. Overall great campground experience! Thank you.

The utilities here were great- we use a surge protector and it never went off and EVERYONE was running AC.Normally we stay in campgrounds which we prefer, but there are occasions that call for an RV Park. This was one of the nicest we have stayed in. From reservations to check out everything went great. We initially booked a back in site which was all they had available- and we were going to have to move in the middle of the stay, but an employee knocked on our door and asked if we wanted to move to a nicer pull through site for the remainder of our stay because they had a cancellation and they saw in their notes that I had wanted a pull through!. We were very pleased to move to a pull through spot as it had grass and was roomier than the back in.This park is close to Zion and to town so the location is very good. They have a nice store, laundry, pool and hold some kind of activity planned each evening. One of the staff came over with a hose clamp and secured the piece together so I could roll in and lock my awning for travel. Our site was beautiful. Each site has a stretch of manicured, soft, lush grass that you can walk around in barefoot. Hookups were easy to set up. We set up our little mat, table, and two chairs and played scrabble into the evening. The location was superb if you are going to hike in ZNP. The boyfriend has T-Mobile and had cell reception there. I have Verizon and also had cell phone reception. The bathrooms were clean though very limited, as the toilet and showers were in the same rooms. So if you had to use the toilet but not the shower, you better pray that everyone isn't showering or else you'll be waiting for awhile. The 'dog park' was underwhelming to say the least. It was a very small fenced gravel pen with no shade, no benches. If your dog is highly entertained by sniffing the perimeter of fencing over and over, this'll be great. For us, it sucked.Overall, the park was clean, well run, and we felt we had a resort-like experience.

Did I mention how great the staff was? the only down side, which isn't a down side for me because I don't need phone or internet, is the Verizon cell service was non-existent. My friends had AT&T and the had a good signal.

The only point to think about is that the campground is next to RT 9 which leads to the park which is about 15 miles so it is a bit noisy but not annoying. Normally, I stay at BLM, national and state parks so staying at a RV is a rarity but great to discharge the tanks, laundry and charge up the batteries.

The facility is spotless, well run and a green oasis.Given the proximity to Utahs busiest NP one should expect a busy park with tight spaces and little privacy. We were able to shoehorn our coach into one of the sites that backed up to the river and our car barely fit in next to the coach. Luckily we weren't next to a large family so it wasn't too bad. But we were out and about so much that we really didn't care. Our dog however wasn't as thrilled as there wasn't much in the way of doggie facilities. He did enjoy a few days at the Doggie Dude Ranch in Rockville while we hiked in the park. The pool and especially the hot tub was a real pleasure after a day of hiking in Zion. The store was nicely stocked and the staff were all great! Wifi was good but Verizon cell coverage was almost nonexistant, T-Mobile however actually worked!

There is a ridge between the site and the river, so you cannot see the river while in your camp spot. When we first got there waters were lowland pretty calm, which was great for going for a dip in the river. It was hot, so this felt great. The gift shop is nice and the have an area to go "mining" with a pan for gems. My 5 year old loved this. She also loved the pool and ice cream night. Overall great place with activities, about 18 minute drive to Zion. My only wish is it were closer to the park, but I don't think there are any better options with full hook-ups as nice as this.

This was a great alternative to the campgrounds in the NP and we were very impressed during our stay. The park is well maintained and continually looked after. Staff was seen daily attending to details and doing little things like making sure gravel was swept out of the streets and back where it belonged. We also saw a park staff member doing rounds during the evening hours. They probably passed our site at least a half a dozen times, each time smiling waving. This type of presents makes sure things are happening as they should and nothing gets to far out of line.As others have mentioned cell service here is non existent (we are with Verizon). However, the wifi was some of the best that we have experienced in a campground. The campground has several antennas and towers around and it is obvious they have put money and time into making it work properly. Our speeds were just fine for a shared network. Could I stream netflix, probably not but email and casual web browsing was no issue. This was very nice as we had no cell service. We were able to send imessages on our phones because they will route over wifi but general texting was not possible. We felt the sites were spaced good and we did not feel crowded by our neighbors. Driveways for the most part are concrete and were very level. I liked the pull-through sites better than the back ins because you get a grass area and then a gravel area around your fire ring.Quiet hours were respected while we were there and the park get very quiet at night. You will have some road noise if you are in sites 73-87 as you are backing up to the road.

I agree with the other review in that the sites are very close together, even closer than the average KOA.

We are learning as we go that we like amenities, but value space more. Zion is a high end RV park with all the amenities from pool to burgers. Sites are level, well maintained and close together. Each space has a picnic table, a fire ring and some grass. The park is also a good distance from the entrance to Zion Park. Our space was next to the playground and dog park-- not recommended (do kids ever go to school)? I would try for a space against the back - close to the river or views of Zion.Laundry was pricey at $4 a small load but was open 24 hours a day and not crowded (4 washers/4 dryers). Internet was terrible on day 1 but improved over our stay - they probably rebooted and we were able to stream video on our last night there. The cell service was terrible (1 bar for Verizon and T-Mobile) We were able to use the Wilson DT4G up to 5 bars! Area Activities - Zion (need I say more) Oscars for food - YUMMY! There is some great mountain biking around, but we weren't able to do any on this short visit.

Yum! Each spot has a tree and plenty of grass and you have a nice bit of room between the spots - not totally spacious but not completely crammed like we've had at some RV parks. The staff can give you directions to see the Grafton Ghost Town which is pretty cool (especially the cemetery). We also recommend a drive up to the Kolob Terrace area of Zion National Park - gorgeous views! Finally, you'll see the Zion Trading Post nearby which looks like a complete tourist trap (and it is) but it actually has pretty darn good food including homemade buns for the burgers and veggie burgers.
