They have just changed their name to Sun Outdoors Arches Gateway. The staff was very friendly and they have invested in upgrading their property. If you have a towing vehicle most likely you won't be able to park it with your RV, since the sites are very narrow and tight so there is an "extra vehicle parking" area for your TV. Be sure to negotiate when you book your reservation or it could be a 16$ extra charge to park your TV. The Park is very close to the Arches entrance and close to downtown Moab and you are surrounded by the Moab-red cliffs, and it's right off from the main road that crosses Moab (a bit noisy in the daytime).

Nonetheless we reserved a tent site as it was cheaper but it came will all the amenities like a RV site (electric, water and even sewer). Each site has a large canopy to either provide some shade or keep you dry in a rain. Like others mentioned the sites are small and close to your neighbor but we didn’t mind. Besides that the place is fantastic, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, pool and hot tub, good cell service if you need to work like me which was one of the primary reasons we picked this place. It also has laundry service for $2/ load and you can pay with card as well.

Campground is clean and well maintained. BUT most sites share the green space with your neighbor so you have no outdoor private space. In our case had a pop up next to us with a family (nice folks) who were outside all the time they were there( given their camper I understood) but that meant every time we walked the dog, went to cook etc we were sharing the space. Just not what I expect at any campground. I get the tight space given the vacation destination but every site should have some dedicated outdoor ‘patio’ space.

There was lots of construction so tough to get in and out of the entrance. Steep grade in and out of the entrance, as well. Lots of funs stuff (outdoors games and a really nice dog run).Security note: neighbor had their hitch stolen off of their truck because they put it on the night before they were leaving. Otherwise, we felt perfectly safe. Theft happens everywhere, unfortunately. Lock up your stuff at all times at all parks.Check-In: Quick and easy.Friendliness: Staff were all very nice.Store: Did not go in. Checked in from window.Site: Pull-through. Very very close spots to neighbors so all driver-side windows had blinds closed most of the time. Had to level a tiny bit. Shared egress for hookups, so the neighbor's window with slide-outs was within about 4-5 feet of our Airstream and truck tandem. Gravel sites with shared grass living space with picnic tables. Hookups: Full hookups with 50 AMP. Worked as expected.Location: Ideally located close to Moab shopping and 5 minutes from Arches National Park.Laundry: Did not do laundry on this short stay.Park's Wifi: Googling. Could not work on it. Not able to Stream well. Needed to use our hotspots for work and to stream a movie just fine (we also have WeBoost).

The staff are amazing and friendly , but the campground has power issues. This causes a huge issue when most trailers are using their AC. The staff kept trying to say it was our surge protector but when we switched it out to try it on their own surge protector… it still tripped and had issues. We had a dog and it was extremely stressful to ensure the dog was safe and cool. We ended up changing many plans in order to bring him along for safety. We stayed seven days and the power issue was NEVER resolved, at least 5 other “neighbors” were having the same exact power issue with the same staff “ it’s your trailer” blame story.

Doing a combo of no frills/hookups/dispersed camping and a few parks like this in between for regrouping. It suited us perfectly. Yes, like others have said - the sites are pretty close together, but not unlike any other Rv park I’ve stayed at. We have an end spot and found it to be plenty of space for us in our 24-foot class B+. Similarly, my brother-in-law who is caravaning with us is in an airstream and still had plenty of room with assigned parking for his truck. The location can’t be beat - two miles from Arches entrance, 40 mins from Dead Horse Point, 45 to Canyonlands. And, an easy 5 min drive into town or 10 min bike ride on a safe bike trail. The setting is lovely, nestled between the quintessential Moab mountains with views on all sides. The entire park is on gravel. But between each site is a grassy island with picnic table and charcoal bbq. Electrical worked fine, no issues with our surge protector. Site was slightly out of level from side-to-side. Nighttime was quiet and the park is equipped with green lights all around, so it wasn’t super bright. We were here from a Friday to Tuesday, so we got a good feel for the flow of the park over a weekend and during the week. Lots and lots of off-road folks with a variety of side-by-sides, motorcycles and Jeeps. If you’re a person who travels with toys, this is your spot. They seem to accommodate all shapes and sizes of trailers for your extra vehicles. There is a mini golf area (just a green with some moveable “hazards”, and clubs provided). Also giant chess and checkers board which was fun to play around with. The pool and hot tub are lovely, clean and well-maintained. Laundry facility top-notch. $2.00 to wash and $2.00 for 50 mins dry. There is a well-stocked supply shop which is currently closed for walk-ins due to COVID, but you can go to the service window and choose your items from a menu. Lots and lots of useful things from fan fuses to ice, kids toys to snacks and beverages (including beer). The showers were very well maintained and had plenty of space to hang towels and clothing, a couple of shelves for toiletries and so on. We have a shower in our rig, but ended up using these because they were so nice. While some have mentioned issues with people walking through their camp to go to the bathrooms, we did not find this to be the case at all and in fact never once saw anyone doing that. I wouldn’t say the bathrooms themselves are very busy anyway since most people have their bathroom with them. One thing to note is that there is construction going on just outside the entrance, making it difficult at times to get in and out. But that would be a problem regardless of where you stayed in Moab, as they have it narrowed down to one lane at times and the traffic can get super backed up going into town. It was only an issue for us twice the entire trip. Also we never heard any construction noise. Speaking of noise, the park is pretty quiet except for some road noise at night. Again, I’ve never been to an RV park that didn’t have road noise. That said, our spot was RIGHT on the edge closest to the road and we only really heard it the first night when we had the windows on that side open. The following nights, we just closed those windows and opened the others and all was well. My brother-in-law, who was at the back side of the park said he didn’t hear the road at all. Overall yes, though we really prefer being more off-grid, we would stay here again, especially when we need a place to fill up, dump, shower, etc. I believe it deserves five stars for all the reasons above.

There are two picnic tables on that green space, one for each of you. The restrooms and laundry room are clean. The public dishwashing area is in the tent camping section of the park, so if you are in the rv Section there is a pleasant walk ahead of you. Everyone is talking about the noise because the RV park is located on the main street into Moab. It is very close to Arches. It is hard to imagine a more convenient location, but you do pay a price in terms of noise. These folks seem to operate a total of at least three RV Parks in Moab, none of which is as close to arches as is this one, but there may be a price differential of the others you may want to explore.

We stayed in a standard site and it was so INCREDIBLY LOUD next to the highway from trucks using their engine brakes down the hill into Moab, we had to have our furnace on full blast to get to sleep. This resort not only sits on a highway but a traffic light intersection so there is constant traffic. Dog enclosures were fenced gravel pits. Sites are on top of each other. You will sit next to another rig and share the grassed section with the neighbour. In saying this, there are beautiful views of the surrounding rock formations. Do yourself a favor and drive/bike/walk through Lions Park across from the resort! Just stunning scenery. We walked in and decided to hike Granstaff Trail, you will not be disappointed (it was approx. 5 hours in total). You can also access Arches by bike or walk the well paved Colorado River from the entrance of Lions Park.Only a couple of minutes drive to the entrance of Arches NP. If you have time, take the time to drive up to Dead Horse Point which had some spectacular views of the canyon below.

We stayed in mid December in a back in site. No others around us, super friendly staff and nice heated bathrooms. Was impressed with the cost as was expecting it to cost alot more to stay. Cute little cabins and lots of shade structures for summer time

Close proximity to the bike path and Arches National Park, plus only a few minutes to downtown. Highly recommend staying here if you're going all out!

They had a great spot as all the spots are pull-ins. Although ours was facing the highway, it was relatively quiet and we had privacy from any neighbors. Plus as it was an "end spot" we got a great breeze! When we arrived it was hovering around 90 degrees and we could just flipped that A/C on which was great. Another plus is that it is about 2 miles from the entrance into Arches National Park. We arrived at about 4, had a chance to settle in, have a snack and unhitch. In fact, they have a reserved parking spot for the TV just 20 yards away. We then went up into Arches and saw an amazing sunset at 6:30, stayed in the park until 8:15 and got home in 10 minutes!!! HIghly suggest this because the park is less crowded during the evening. Right outside the door is a small piece of pavement, some grass and very nice picnic table and a stand-up grill. There's also a little lantern on a post at each site. We decided a quick shower was in order, so we took advantage of the showers ( I mean we paid for it, right?) Spotless! In the women's room, there were four showers, one was handicap with a chair and all were tiled up to the ceiling. There were also a few sinks and restroom stalls ( I didn't look inside those.) The rooms were also only accessible by a code. They have a pool which was crowded only because it was holiday weekend with many families. They set aside 9-10 pm for adults only. They also have mini golf, lifesize games and a gazebo. It has been rebranded so I will send more photos (It's looks more "hip" now). The office: it was beautiful!! First was the convenience store part. Any soft drink possible as well as beer and milk, eggs, dry goods, etc. Then there were complimentary coffees and a microwave and toys, gifts and adorable t-shirts – reasonable priced at 10-15! There was also a small reading room with a loveseat and bookshelf full of books. The immaculate laundry room and adjacent bathroom were accessible through the office as well. This building was next to the generous size pool/spa. Cannot forget to mention the desk staff. Alicia was so welcoming , especially when we weren't sure we could get a spot anywhere in the Moab area on the holiday. There was a tent area where every site had an additional shade structure where you could put your tent underneath! The spaces are fairly close together but in Moab you should be out doing everything! The company even has a website with some activity suggestions and links to trails and adventures in the area! Wifi is good and complementary. There is a dump on site as well. The onsite handyman was there lickity split when our neighbor had an electric issue, too. There are cute little cabins, which looked brand new, for “campers” without a camper! And also a rentable vintage Airstream! We would definitely stay again! The location is also excellent for bikers who want to access the Colorado Riverway/Goose Island paved trual as it is just across the street.. You can also ride the four easy flat miles into town.
