Close to everything, town visitor center. Site has fire ring and a nice picnic table. Wood was $8 for a bundle.

  • A fine place to stay.

The main perk of this park, in my opinion, is the location- it’s right across the street from the Grand Staircase visitor center, which is super convenient for grabbing brochures and finding things to do in the area. The laundry room was clean and machines worked well. We were able to receive packages in the front office and the staff was nice. We would stay again if going to the area.

  • Nice staff, No AT&T, terrible Wi-fi, expensive laundry

I have an iPhone 11 pro and on wifi calling I had to call back 3 times and it was a struggle to be understood. Road noise is loud and kids screaming outside. Very helpful and kind staff. Laundry room is clean, has 5 washers (1 not working) $3.50-$4 and 5 dryers (1 not working) $2. One overflowing dumpster but there was another that had a little room still which is great because we have been boondocking for over a week. 20 amp GFI kept tripping with only our Pioneer mini split plugged in using less than 500w but staff brought us a 30amp to 15 amp plug so we could have heat overnight! They let us check in early due to winter storm coming in which we are grateful for. Not the most level spot but doable with our hydraulic levels.

For me, this campground was just ok. The spaces are long enough for most rigs. But the selling point for me, was all the hiking in the area. Laundry was expensive, $3.50 for a washer but it may be due to limited facilities in town and water prices. Showers were private and clean.

  • Just made do with it.

Next day we moved to full hookup site but got stuck in the soft sand in front of the site. An employee went to get the owner who said he wasn’t going to help dig us out. We shamed him into it and we did get unstuck and into the site. No “sorry“ for not maintaining the campground roads.

The staff is friendly and the park is clean and fairly new. The sites are long - we camp here with a 41’ motorhome going a 28’ trailer - and wide enough for big slide outs. Many sites have grass. There are a lot of UTVs in the park but the 5 mph speed limit keeps the noise and dust to a minimum. It’s a great launching point for exploring the Grand Staircase and close enough to to town to walk to a few restaurants. We stay here 2-3x per year.

Great location to discover Escalante. We love it here. The people are UNBELIEVABLY friendly. Arrival was so nice, contactless check in is great. We were early, not a problem at all. Sites are wide. When the trees grow the shade will be lovely.

Reliable power to the towers. Sites are level, all are pull-thru about 70 ft long. The owners are really great people! They try to accommodate everyone. Besides basic supplies in the office, they have a freezer full of their grass-fed beef for sale!Given that the park is in the DESERT, there isn't a lot of grass or trees but there are nice grass patches between sites and small trees that are being nursed along in the dry climate. The campground is very clean as is the laundry room and office.I'm also very glad they're open during COVID 19 !
