Did on-line check in and our welcome packet was hanging outside, didn't even need to go in. Sites in the new area are well spaced. In the older area, sites looked close and randomly placed. Bryce Canyon is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Pros: Easy access to the Bryce shuttle and easy access to park (only a couple miles). Laundry room was large and clean. Nice pull through, FHU sites in the new area. Good restaurants in the area. Lots of stars on clear nights. Nice grassy area for each site in the new area, good for pet owner. Very friendly staff. Ruby's general store has a good selection, most everything you'll need. Bathrooms are heated and nice with individual showers. Cons: At over 8000 feet elevation, it is 10-15 degrees cooler here. Gets below freezing at night 200 days a year.Great AT&T cell service, didn't need the booster, 5G signal was -95 RSPR. No issues streaming. A few local HDTV stations came in.

  • Great location for Bryce visiting if you want full hookups instead of in the park.

The Bryce NP shuttle stops right at the campground. Park wise, I can't speak for the wifi. Cellular coverage was good so I didn't use the wifi. Some sites (mine) are recently leveled via large amounts of backfill. While this makes for a nice level site, one now has to climb up and down a loose gravel embankment to reach hookups. It makes dumping easy though ????. Location and full hookups are the real benefit of this park.

There was a significant amount of snow on the ground (4-7”) so camping in the National Park was not going to work for us as originally planned. The roads were asphalt and the site was gravel. With all the snow on the ground we couldn’t find the sewer connection and had to pull back out to go dump our tanks before setting up. When the snow melted, we found that the top of the sewer outlet had been broken off because it was too far into the parking area and at least 15-20’ from the other utility hookups (it was under our rig…). The location of the picnic table and fire pit were well away from the rig which was kind of odd. Also, the exit was hard to get around. We ended up doubling back through the CG to go out the way we came in. They have propane at the CG which was handy given the weather. Wifi was good, 2 bars Verizon, no OTA. Didn’t check the bathhouse. The laundry room was good size and clean. Ruby’s also has a decent CG grocery store and restaurant. We ate down the road at Bryce Canyon Pines – good dinner and GREAT pie! Cedar Breaks was a good day trip and Red Canyon was awesome in addition to Bryce Canyon. I would definitely stay there again if I needed a CG with hookups. If you can't get into the park or here, check out Kodachrome Basin State Park. It's roughly 30 minutes away and had one of the best bathhouses/laundry rooms I have seen in over 18 months of continuous travel. Plus the campground is beautiful, nestled up in the red rocks.

The place itself is longtime family owned and has it’s own 100 year history. We love Utah NP’s where the scenery is so stunning and the parks are so easily accessible that when are kids were young these were our first spots when we got our first camper. Turns out we were at this campground 20 years ago with our granddaughter and only recognized the fact by some old photos.Sites for all sizes and viewable online. Bathroom and shower clean. Dog friendly and tons of things to do and see. If you like Bbq try IDK BBQ one town over! Busy and worth it when looking for good food in a tourist stop!

No good Sam’s or seniors discounts at all. Today, we were in town and where I could could come eat to internet. So I googled this campground to set my map to it. I noticed they offered a 30% fall discount for this month. So when we got here I mentioned it to the lady and she abruptly told me no. Said I had to book online to get it. It is just irritating to me that you get no discount or anything if they have to talk to you. I feel like a lot of us campers are away and without internet service. We are at citizens, we do belong to good Sam and I would have booked on line if I could have. We are staying for 5 days and 30% is a lot. She could have been more customer service oriented and at least given me 10% since their ad offers 30%. And our campsite is unlevel and their water hydrants are not heated. Not feeling it for this place.

We were there on the 4th of July weekend 2021 and the place was packed and probably a bit noisier and smokier (campfires) than usual. For me the best part was the running/biking/walking trail just across from the entrance; very convenient. The path goes for miles in either direction. If you like well-prepared, healthy food, beware that your choices here will be extremely limited. Buffet restaurant, fast food, pizza is all we found to be close by.

The Bryce Canyon Park shuttle stops right in front of the park and the park is the next stop on the loop. Tickets are sold at the stop. This is super convenient to the park.

Made our reservation last September, locked our big rig end spot in the back of the park, everything ready to go. We pull in after a seven hour ride from AZ to find another camper in our spot. Supervisor came out to our location, created a solution for another end spot and all was well (story was much longer but whatever) Was told to come to the office, they would credit us a % on the nightly for the troubles and also gave us some bundles of wood for the next couple nights. Much more then I expected, was very very impressed with the customer service. Moving past this, the rest of the stay was fantastic. Large park for the kids to enjoy their bikes, great for walking the dogs, extra wide spots which kept the wood fire smoke out of the RV. Let’s not forget the excellent location directly outside Bryce Canyon national park. SXS friendly, great location, even some wildlife in and around the resort. Would definitely return, if traveling with a trailer or extra toys the big rig spots in the back will not disappoint, they are HUGE.

This was not a problem for our 22' Bambi, but once it was in there we realized the sewer was set up near the road as though the rig needed to pull along side the site, not backing in. It could have been achieved, but I normally don't like to travel with 25' of sewer hose (ha). We went back to the office and they kindly gave us site 159, which is in a series of pull through sites very close together with no trees. I believe other rows of sites are better than this row, keep this in mind.We used the pool one evening. It was heated and the hot tub was nice as well. As far as the location of the campground, obviously this is the main draw. The visitor center is just down the road and there is a bus stop right outside the main office. We did not use any wifi, could not pick anything up. Verizon was fairly good. Our homeschool was the non-digital version on the rim of Bryce working on junior ranger badges!I would consider other options personally next time in the area, but if we opted to stay at Ruby's again, I'd have better sites in mind and try to reserve those.

Our firepit was within 2 feet of the neighbor's sewer drain, yuck.Close to Bryce, the only reason we would pay this much for a few nights. 2 star rating reflects the fact that I think the sites are way overpriced for what you get, even in a tourist location, especially since we seemed to have one of the narrowest sites that was considered premium, very long site, but very narrow with the trees.Sites were fairly levels, but very, very dusty and the ATVers drove through too fast kicking up more dust.We were here when fire danger was extremely high but campfires were allowed which left us smelling a lot of smoke when the windows were open.Only reason to pick this place is convenience to Bryce. Some sites were very close to the highway, luckily ours was much further back so we didn't hear much noise.

Minutes from Bryce.Park is a bit haphazard - sites at weird angles and shapes. eg, my neighbors fire ring was three feet from the back corner of my bedroom... Back sites are wider\flatter, but have no shade. Front sites a bit more random - but smaller. Pro tip - coming or going north, the pass from the 15 to the 89 (the 20) is long and steep. Take the 89 instead - much flatter and more enjoyable than a 10 mile steep climb!

Unfortunately, North and Sunset Campgrounds were scheduled to open within the following week. We were contemplating staying at a dispersed down the road but because it was late and getting dark, we decided with what was near us. Ruby's Inn was a great choice for a full hookup RV spot. It was inexpensive, leveled, and quiet throughout the night. Their WiFi seemed to not work with any of my electronics (computer, TV, or phone) but our hotspot filled that gap. We had 2 bars of Verizon but with a booster, we were able to get 5 bars. The pool is tiny but does its job keeping the kids busy. My only gripe is that some fire pits, including ours in site 132, were in awkward positions. For example, ours was right next to the hook ups and we had to walk around the back side of our trailer to utilize it. Some of our neighbors fire pits were far from their doorstep and some were right next to their trailer. Location is nice, and there is a Bryce Canyon shuttle stop right in front of the campground (you have to pay your entrance fee or have an annual pass to get on). There is a bike trail nearby that winds all the way to the entrance of the park.

The park is extremely close to Bryce Canyon and even has a shuttle stop just outside on the Main Street, but it is filled with tourists. It’s awesome seeing so many people who normally wouldn’t be out camping out enjoying our national parks, but people who don’t typically camp and don’t know common park etiquette can really bring down a park. Ruby’s is the go to tourists stop at Bryce and the ratio of rented RVs to owned ones was probably as high as 9-1. We saw so many people just walking through others campsites and doing other things you typically don’t see. We only came here because we needed to do laundry and needed to dump and fill our tanks. Add this to the fact that Ruby’s is really pricy and that the Dixie national forest allows for free boondocking and we won’t be coming back.

We made the reservations at least 6 months in advance, but ended up with a horrible site. Basically, the trailer was at the top of a hill, with our tow vehicle on the downhill side. Neighbors we right outside our window, there was no room on our side to put out chairs or get comfortable. We looked over what was basically a parking lot for big rigs. We found after talking to a camp host at the NP that if we got there before 10:00 am we would likely get a spot. We took his advice and on the third day we left Ruby's and found a very nice spot in the NP. Next time we will reserve a single night at Ruby's and then spend the rest of time in the NP. The difference is striking. Trees, quiet, roomy - peaceful.Ruby's seems to own everything outside the park. The prices reflect this. Buy any groceries or necessities before getting to Bryce.

There's also a walk/bike path that you can take from Ruby's into the park. It's a long walk, but we did it several times. There are shops and stores in the town (which is in the opposite direction from the national park), but we never explored them. As we understand it, Ruby's owns everything there and they price things accordingly. We were told to stock up on groceries before coming in, which is what we did. We also skipped out on the restaurants because they seemed like tourist traps. We were in the new section in the back which is basically made up of several rows of enormous pull through sites with tons of space between them. The sites are huge and the spacing is great, but it feels very open. They've planted trees and I assume several years from now, it will be fantastic, but right now, it feels like a giant parking lot. All things considered though, at least we weren't sitting on top of our neighbors.Customer service was pretty lacking here. This is where the whole corporate thing comes in. I am sure they see hundreds of guests each week and most only stay for a couple days, but that doesn't mean customer service shouldn't be a priority. They just were not warm nor friendly at the office. Additionally, I booked our stay at least 6 months before our visit and requested any one of 6 or 7 specific site numbers, but they completely blew it off and gave us a site in the area we didn't want to be it. It wasn't a huge deal, but if someone is staying an entire week and paying $60 per night to do so, it would be nice if the company would at least attempt to accommodate a site request. The overall sense we had with this place was that Ruby's owns everything in town and they really don't have to care too much about their customers. It's always busy, turnover is always high, and most people aren't going to come back anyway, so they don't really care. It all makes sense. It just didn't leave us with a great feeling. In contrast, we found Zion Canyon Campground to be just as convenient to Zion National Park as Ruby's was to Bryce, yet it cost $10 less per night, the people were friendlier, and we could go grocery shopping in the town without being gouged. Ruby's was "fine." It's just nowhere we have any grand desire to return to.

Our site was a bit narrow in that it did not allow us to fully extend the awning, but again that was okay. Site was almost level and a couple of leveling blocks later all was okay. Their internet was not secure and the directions to log into it were obtuse. In the end we just logged on the old fashioned way. We must admit, although the wifi was not secure it was fast and seemed to work great a majority of the time. The reason for our stay was to ride our side by sides on the ATV trails and that experience was stellar. Coffee drinkers beware, could not find K Cups either in the camp store or the General Store at Ruby's. Did find them in Tropic.

Right at the entrance to the NP and the shuttle stops right here. Easy. This campground is owned and managed by Best Western (the whole town is, actually). Check-in was pretty easy, but it is a very large, very busy campground, so there can be a line at times. Parking for registration is kinda awkward and can get congested - there really isn't a designated registration parking area, so everyone just pulls in where they can. We had a Big Rig site in the new portion, which is in the back section of the property. Ours was not the "premium" site, so we did not have the grassy lawn area between sites, just gravel, but it was still really nice. As mentioned in previous reviews, the sites in this new section are very, very large. A lot of space between you and your neighbors - it's basically just a huge, gravel parking lot with very sparse, young trees that aren't yet developed enough to provide any shade or privacy, but because of how much space there is between each site, privacy isn't really an issue. Nice picnic tables and fire rings. Our site was not level; there was a bit of a ditch running through it that we had to straddle. Cell coverage was "okay", but could get spotty (1 bar Extended to 3 bars 3G), so we did have to use our WeBoost, which got us one bar of 4G/LTE with Verizon (our boondocking friends in Dixie National Forest north of Hwy 12 had awesome Verizon coverage with 3-4 solid bars of 4G/LTE!). Wi-Fi was pretty good, but could get bogged down at peak hours. There were Wi-Fi towers evenly scattered throughout the park. The sites in the older section are heavily treed and looked really beautiful. Yes, they are closer together, but if I was to visit in the summer, that's where I would want to be. The heavy tree coverage looked to provide very good privacy between sites. We saw very large Class A's in this area, but I would be particular when requesting a site with a large rig. Right outside the campground is a beautiful walking path/bike path that runs the whole length of the Red Canyon. We don't have bikes, but this gorgeous trail really made me wish we did. Speaking of Red Canyon, if you're coming from the West into Bryce Canyon City, you will go through two tunnels that are 13'6" - there is a sign warning you of these tunnels as you turn onto Hwy 12 from 89. Eating establishments are, for the most part, run-of-the-mill tourist diner type places. We did eat dinner one night at the Bryce Canyon Park Lodge, which we enjoyed, but it was very expensive. There are groceries at Ruby's Inn General Store, within walking distance of the campground, and it has a decent selection of frozen cuts of butcher meats - chicken, steaks, pork chops, bacon, sausage, etc. and some fresh produce, frozen fruits/veggies, beer, pre-packaged deli meals, paper products, etc. If this doesn't suit, Panguitch has a great little grocery store called Joe's Main Street Market that should get you pretty much anything you need.

We stayed in the newer big rig section which is a bit more sparse in terms of trees but the sites are very generously sized and have a large raised grassy area with fire pit and picnic table. Visiting Bryce Canyon is easy via car, bicycle or you can take the shuttle bus which stops right on site. There are no large grocery stores in the area so I would recommend buying all your groceries before you get here. Ruby's has a store but it has a limited selections an is a bit overpriced. The campground is beautiful and great to take doggie for a walk ...when we were there in mid April it was easy to find a place to throw the ball and wear him out! We have a 41 ft 5th wheel and stay in the large RV lot in the back. The sites are very generously sized, and we loved the changes they made since last time. The sites now have a raised grassy area with fire pit and picnic table. It's wide open like a parking lot, but still nice because the sites are so large. Verizon 4G works pretty well and the park wifi is also not bad. In our opinion this is the best place to stay while visiting Bryce Canyon because it's as close as you can get to the entrance and even has a shuttle bus stop right on site. The shuttle bus wasn't running yet when we were there in April, but it was when we stayed there 2 years ago in the summer. It was very convenient to be able to ride the shuttle into Bryce right from the campground. I would recommend buying all your groceries before you get here. There is no place nearby to shop at. Ruby's has a grocery store where you can pick up items you may have forgotten but everything at Ruby's is overpriced so it's better to bring what you need before you get there.

Awesome. Mountain biking trails right outside the park, with miles and miles of riding. While the trails do technically share with ATV's, I never encountered one.Kids loved the pool, while I enjoyed the hot tub and plenty of shady relaxing areas on the pool patio. Easy kid-biking access to ATV-riding, horse-riding, rodeo, ice cream, you name it. Four days was definitely not long enough here.Truthfully, I am letting the amazingness of Bryce Canyon rub off on my rating for this place. The RV park itself isn't very inspiring, and it lacks a playground. Still, the immediate access to an epic park puts it into five-star range.

  • A pretty nice campground right outside Bryce Canyon.

It's only a mile or two to drive into Bryce Canyon, and the park's shuttle stops at the campground every 15 minutes or so. It's also fairly close to Red Canyon, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Kodachrome Basin. We stayed in the new section in the back which has huge sites... some have nice grass lawns and gravel patios, but ours was just dirt. The trees are sparse and young so expect full sun. The rest of the campground is much larger, full of mature trees providing full shade. The sites in this older section are much closer together but still reasonable. The WiFi worked reasonably well during the day, and not surprisingly slowed down a lot in the evenings. We had a weak cell signal but it was usable, and with our booster it was much better. We found this to be a perfectly acceptable campground for visiting Bryce, and will consider it again if we return to the area.

  • Extra wide sites with your own grass lawn!

We stayed here and were happy, as the sites were wide and level. This year we were quite surprised to find that they have recently renovated three rows of the sites. The site's parking area is pull through, level, and twice as wide as your RV. They are presently a sand/gravel mix. Each site had a huge raised patio area with beautiful grass on three fourths and decorative rock in the other piece which holds the picnic table and sunken firepit. The patios were just recently sodded. You are a long ways from your neighbor. All sites have full hooks with 50 amp. The park was full the whole time we there in mid May, but it was so quiet and very dark at night. Our price reflects the weekly rate which I would imagine will increase when the area is all completed. There is also a more traditional campground area in the trees. Some sites are very tight and others are unlevel. Most sites are full hook up but there are a few with just W/E. The WiFi was good most of the time. Verizon signal is weak but with the booster we could use the phone and got 4g data some. The park offers a shuttle stop out front into the park for free. There is a newly completed two lane paved bike path from Red Canyon into Bryce Canyon.

Since we only stayed one night, we chose the closest park to Bryce Canyon National Park. We had full hookup, so it served as our dumpsite after dry camping, plus we needed to do laundry. All of these services were provided which made us feel better about the rate.We had a pull-through site, and it had good decent spacing between it and other sites, but the actual area where the RV needed to fit into was a bit narrow. There were good areas around the park to walk dogs. The only "amenity" that I used was the laundry, which was big and clean. There is supposed to be a pool and hot tub, but we never made it there. It is just minutes away from Bryce so it is perfect if the plan is to spend quality time at the park. Not so much for anything else.

The convience of this park is the reason to stay here. It is clean and the staff is helpful. The wifi is non-existent. You can get cell service, but no cable or local TV channels. My advice is make sure you do your grocery shopping before you get here. The grocery store is linked to Rubys and is small and costly.

When discovering our firepit, upon arrival, had the majority of its stones siphoned off to other spots, the staff was quick to resolve the matter by disassembling another pit and adding to our own. That's a pretty big deal at most campgrounds, so kudos to them for that, and their general loveliness. I also bought a wicked Mighty 5 shirt from them, which still has a particularly soft spot in my wardrobe. It is, after all, a cotton blend. Did I find the bicycling proximity to Ruby's gas station, mini mart and novelty shop a bonus? Why yes, I did!I seem to also recall a big canyon type thingy with some really old trees and the statues of ancient humans who were destroying this land until the Coyote turned them into hoodoos. That may be the best reason to stay here, native fauna sorcery.
