Better Than Most TT... As referenced in other reviews, Loop B is newer and the best section of the campground. Although, many of the concrete pads are sloped. The lowest tier appeared to have the most level sites. Overall the park is nicer than most TT. Very easy access off IH45 and convenient to Conroe, The Woodlands and Spring.

Ours enjoyed playing at the playground, basketball courts, and inside the activity center. It was cold so we didn't get to use the pool, but it looked very nice. There is also a beach on the lake that looked super nice (again too cold for that). There were lots of activities and even a chili cook off while we were there. Would be a great park to visit in the spring/early summer when it's not too hot or cold in Texas. There are some brand new sites towards the front, but we ended up in G. The older sites could definitely use some love. Our site was uneven, but we've hard worse. Water and elective worked great and the bathrooms near us were clean and updated. There are two laundry rooms that use an app and cost $2 a load. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The front B section is very nice although even being newer and concrete pads, still a challenge for long wheel-base rigs to get level with all wheels on the ground in many lots. The rest of the camping spots are very hit and miss. Additionally, they don’t allow dog bone amp converters so if you have a 50 amp rig, you can’t stay in many of the lots. This coupled with the fact they allow 30 amp campers to take up the 50 amp lots, it’s very easy to not be able to find a usable space if you’re in a Class A or a long C without your wheels dangling in the air. Sadly, this is becoming the norm at TT across the network. This could be a TT showcase site if they’d improve the RV areas instead of paving streets and putting infrastructure in place for houses.

Campsite well spaced apart, the grass is green it has a swimming pool and it’s near the lake. People were very friendly as we drove past, most waved! It’s hot but since you have 50 amp plug-ins, it’s wonderful.

AT&T had high speeds, Verizon and T-mobile/Sprint all had good enough speeds around 5+ Mbps and higher pretty much all the time.We had a 50A site located with a view towards the pool and adjacent to the laundry room, playground and mini golf. The location was excellent for us. The main road in the park is in pretty good shape, the loops to the sites have some potholes and repairs needed, but not as bad at all as some other TT parks. There is a section that is at the front that is fully concrete and pretty level pads with new bathrooms. We chose to stay closer to the pool with a view instead of on those concrete pads. The pads had pretty sharp inclines that we were concerned about getting into well. Once you were up that hill they looked quite level though. We may try that area in the future. There is a grocery store close by (Kroger) in Willis but also the city of Conroe is within a reasonable drive to find other stores and resources. CVS and Walgreens also in Willis. Amazon pickup lockers are available just outside the gate at a neighboring facility.Update: On our second stay at this park in May 2021, we found 5G service for Verizon, faster 4G Verizon (35+) and improved service on Sprint/Tmobile as well (around 15-20). I have not yet tested AT&T, no reason to fire it up yet. For roadworking people, this park has easy connectivity. No issues here for us even without a booster. I am updating our review to reflect that improved signal more towards the back of the park. I know Tmobile rolled out some updates a few weeks ago and Verizon's 5G was not online here at all last time so I don't think it's just the location in the park. This time we were at space E77, which has a view to lake conroe and is really a perfect location, in our opinion.

No dog bone adapters allowed even if you have solar to run everything. Disappointing but expected from TTs. They really do try and milk every last dollar out of you. But there is no better option so we put up with it.The road in was long and quite thin. 2 class As cold barely fit.I stayed in the new section "B". Nice large concrete pads with real grass in between the sites. Lots of seasonal and annuals here. Being new one would think the pads are level. Not. And some of the sites have large ramps so depending on the rig you may or may not be able to get in without severely grinding the tail of the rig.ATT worked decent but no so Verizon. Verizon was only able to get a 3G signal so speeds were unusable.I only had three days here so did not explore the rest of the CG. I can say the bath house in B was the nicest I have seen in a TT CG. That includes a number of newly renovated TTs CGs.The turn into the B section is no bueno. So they say to go up the road a bit and us the turn around to get in easier. Good advice.Close enough (less than 10 miles) to any sort of shopping one may want.Staff was very pleasant and helpful. A nice stay and I hope to return for a longer stay.

Easy check-in at the ranger station and they let you choose your site. TIP: Section B is the best section by far. It contains both pull-through and back-in sites with beautiful concrete pads. Also great electrical posts with 110 volt plugs. Wow! We stayed in site B10 and it was fantastic. Other sections have gravel sites with some pull-throughs. The park is huge so it's great for biking. We paid $20.00 for 1 week of Fastwave wifi and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone got 3 bars and the hotspot worked ok. The section B bathrooms were incredible! Wood paneled stalls and black marble sinks. The showers are large and they have removable showerheads. Very clean and impressive. There are 2 laundry rooms and both were well maintained. Dryers were hot and also quite a deal at only $1.50 for 60 minutes. All amenities except the pool were closed due to Covid-19.

As with many TT parks, there are a large number of seasonal spots that you cannot use, but we did not have trouble finding a spot. The majority of the sites in the park have asphalt or gravel pads, but at the recommendation of the check-in staff, we decided to pay the upcharge ($6) and take one of the new premium sites at the front of the park. These were large concrete back-ins with an expansive patio area complete with a picnic table and firepit. We definitely recommend trying for one of these spots! The only bad mark I can give is that it seems campers don’t use the dog waste bins. There was dog poop in many of the grassy areas. While we didn't use it, the park has a very nice swimming pool with a grassy areas as well as a covered patio area nearby. I removed one star for Access. Backing in and pulling out of our site was easy, but the roads leading to the park were difficult. There was quite a bit of construction in the area and our GPS couldn't find the road the park is on. The road leading to the park is pretty rough. Tip for Other Campers: This park is right on Lake Conroe, so the water sports opportunities are plentiful, though we did not have time to partake during our short stay. We did, however, get in an evening run around the park and found that there is definitely plenty of room to roam.

While looking for a site I thought the place was nothing but rough roads and unlevel sites but upon exploring further found plenty of level sites in what is a really nice park. Great location with plenty of shopping and restaurants but still off the beaten path. Access to the lake, nice pool and club house and plenty of activities if you're so inclined. Laundry could be bigger but it's okay.AT&T was strong and fast but Verizon was sketchy at times. We did have to pay three bucks for 50 amp and were told they don't allow "dog bones" so if you're a 50 amp rig, you gotta pay. Most sites are gravel and level enough but some will test your leveling skill. There is a new section with concrete pads. Would have liked explore the park more but it was spring break and the Coronavirus was lurking about so we mostly sheltered in place. Look forward to coming back.

It's very apparent they're putting a lot of money into this place to get it up to par. The majority of the park is older and looks fairly typical as far as campground sites go, but they just built a brand new section (B) with large sites and huge concrete pads and lots of wifi antennas. It feels more like a resort than a campground. I can't comment on the the wifi because there's a fee and I was able to squeeze enough out of the available Verizon signal to get online. They're also building out another section with brand new cottages for sale, looks like a mini HOA subdivision. The bathroom facilities are very clean and above average. The pool looks very nice. Awesome dog park. Two laundry rooms with plenty of machines so you shouldn't have to schedule your laundry at the wee hours of the morning to get a machine. Easy lake access if you have a boat. Close proximity to shopping for whatever you need. This place has it all.

Even though winter followed us here anyway, yes, it snowed in Houston Texas of all places, we had a very pleasant time here. Lodge is new with a fulltime, albeit a bit pricey, restaurant inside. Great fitness room, lovely pool and hot tub. Wonderful courts, it actually felt like a nice, member resort a stark contrast to the normal TT experience. It rained a lot, and while I can’t blame the park for the weather, I can blame them for making the new pull through sites out of packed clay, which turned to sticky slimey snot. First time I came, I sank the trailer up to the axels in mud. Thank God I had 4wd. Lake Conroe is beautiful and we picnic BBQed on the makeshift island by the marina. Staff was great and they really enjoyed having kids there. One of the staff members put our 10 year old son to work cleaning tables and bought him a pancake lunch as a reward. He was thrilled! Great location outside Houston. Downtown is about 45 min away. Costco is 15 minutes away. Johnson space center is an 1:15. And Kemah Bay is about an hour and a half. Highly recommend you take a break from the normal TT park experience and stay here. It’s worth the drive.

Great activities center, kids playground, basketball, and dog run. There is a lake with docks as well as volleyball and a small beach. The laundry is a bit small for such a large park, but they must expect quite a bit of coming and going. We have family in Houston and drove in a few times, only about 45 minutes - pretty good location. Also a good distance from shopping and restaurants. Some of the sites are pull thru and some are back in - the back in seem to be a bit better because of more space. Also, some of the pull thru were not as level as we would have liked, but we just kept looking. This is the kind of park where you have to go find your site, but we had plenty to choose from. Also, the new area will be concrete pads with a lot of space. One other thing - if it rains, there will be mud. But hey, it is the outdoors, what can you expect. If we lived close to this, we would come here all the time!

It was handed directly to a receptionist or someone at a front desk." Very poor customer service to say the least. The park is nicely located near I 45 and the town's of Willis and Conroe. As far as the site itself. We found it acceptable. We had a 50 amp full hook up site. Gravel and a little muddy around the edges but acceptable nonetheless. Our first day there we blew the breaker at the pedestal. It must have been an anomaly for we had no further issue in our 4 night stay. Our Verizon phone and data service worked but was not anything steller. 4.14 Mbps down and similar up was our experience on a couple of test ran. Streaming video would cause my VoIP phone to struggle some.My overall rating (1*) is directly related to our experience with the seemingly very non professional handle from a guest services stand point.

Park is really nice in beautiful surroundings. Great looking pool, basketball courts, playground, all well maintained. Laundry nice as well as bathrooms. This is the best maintained Thousand Trails park that we've been to. The pool area is the crown jewel. There are also basket ball, tennis and pickle ball courts that all look very new. They seem to be expanding the park to add (vacation?) homes. It feels more "resort" than "outdoors." We had a great spot on the end of a row with a view of one of the ponds. The spaces are gravel and we needed to level a tad front to back. The park is only a few miles from town and the biggest Kroger grocery store I have ever seen. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will certainly stay here again in the future.
