We stopped here just for an overnight after a long travel day. Older park but nice sites and lots of cute decorations. It was super hot and we were disappointed that the pool was not open. Easy to get to from the interstate, easy check-in and nice areas to walk.

I really enjoyed my stay here the host is very kind and accommodating. She let me pick where I wanted to camp and I chose to be facing the pond. Pretty murals a lake with geese a picnic pavilion and laundry. I felt very safe and enjoyed speaking with other campers. I will definitely stay here again.

Eye catching artifacts & murals abound. We were fortunate enough to have a site looking thru shades trees at a good size pond. Aesthetically, of the 20 parks we’ve visited this outing, this was quite possibly the best. Upon departure, I noticed that the sewer orifice was cracked, allowing grey to seep out. (Good thing our rig has 2 grey tanks - I always perform a test dump.) When I notified the office of this, maintenance was there immediately. A great experience for us from beginning to end.

There is a small pond which the kids enjoyed fishing at. At this age, catching one small fish was enough to keep them entertained for a bit. As others mention, the surrounding area isn't the best part of town, but the park itself was fine. Site was nice level gravel with a decent sized concrete area for the provided picnic table. If I was passing through the area again, I would definitely stay here again.29 down/11 up with Verizon7 down/14 up with T-Mobile

We had site 9 both times. The park doesn’t appear to be in a great part of town, but the park itself is fine. Very clean and well maintained. There is a nice pond and also a new concrete walking path ( appears government owned) next to the rivet. Site 9 was a nice backin site that faces the river and the site next to it is a short pull through site that wasn’t occupied either time we were there. There doesn’t appear to be much to do in the area, but this is a great place to stop for the night.

Clean, nice pool. Love the decor and statues. Great place for kids and dogs. Area to walk by a river and sit and enjoy the pond. No shade. Close enough to HWY 82. Quiet. Lots of birds walking around so there are some bird dropping to watch out for.

Verizon cell service was 4G 4 bars. The fulltime and long-term folks are over in a different section. The park is on the Wichita River, has lots of ducks and geese that like the pond there and there are lots of kitschy things around the park. They have a pool, laundry and bathhouses - all clean. I did not meet any staff as they had contactless check-in – your paperwork is taped to the office door. There is plenty of shopping all around. We took a lovely hike through Lucy Park and saw the beautiful Wichita Falls. We would go back to this very nice park.

We usually like to stay at Lake Arrowhead State Park, but it was full because COVID19 restrictions knocked the occupancy limit to 50%. Also, Lake Arrowhead is off the main drag, and adds a few more miles to the trip. We therefore decided to check out this campground, and we are glad we did. We did everything by phone and never saw the staff, but they were friendly and helpful. Our site was up front, so we had easy access to it, but there are some nice one along the back of the property along the creek that I would recommend for a little more quiet. We got a full hook-up site which included cable, but we couldn't get the cable to work, so we just streamed from my phone. I really appreciated the fact that they graded their sites level side-to-side, so I didn't have to break out the leveling blocks. I was able to stay connected and just leveled front to back with the tongue jack and dropped the stabilizers.

Visited during Chinese virus scare, no person to person check in, envelope taped to office door with site and park info. Public facilities closed. Nice, well kept park. Rate was with Good Sam discount. Price was high put there aren’t many options in Wichita Falls that I could find.
