We stopped one night traveling from Colorado to Galveston. This was an easy on/off. There's a Walmart one block from the premise. Based on the A Fame office, we presume this park was previously a KOA facility. The sites are unpaved yet level. Lots of long term residents. Discounts honored - AAA, Good Sam, Military and AARP. ...moreWe stopped one night traveling from Colorado to Galveston. This was an easy on/off. There's a Walmart one block from the premise. We stayed here 1 night on our way thru the area. We are a 46" 5th wheel pulled by a semi tractor, and the owner accommodated us with a large, pull-thru site at the end of a row. Several other big-rig friendly sites in that section. Full hookups, decent cell service, clean and spacious. Very well kept.

Walmart is next door so that makes it handy to walk next door for a few supplies. Also, we were given 2 wifi codes to use, but could not get the codes to work. The park is clean and well taken care of by the owners. We did not use the restroom facilities so not sure about the shower, etc. We only stayed one night. We did not disconnect our toad so not sure about local restaurants and attractions. Check in was easy and the owner was very friendly.

The campground is right off of Rt. 287 and next to a Walmart and a train track. For people sensitive to noise, this campground is pretty noisy with road and train noise pretty consistent day and night. My main issue with the campground is the sites are grass which turns to mud with rain. When we got here I notice fire ants so that is an issue as well. Power was good with consistent 50 amp service. Wifi was excellent which was a plus. Easy satellite TV views. There are no amenities to speak of but that is not what I am looking for in an overnight.Overall, OK but I hope that I do not get stuck in the mud tomorrow...
