The new management is on track to make this park outstanding. They have plans for really nice upgrades. When you check in they treat you like long lost friends. The sites are full hook ups, grass and gravel pads, on site laundry and bath house. Quiet and safe.

New managers just took over 3 weeks ago and they are doing a fabulous job. They were very accomadating. They were very accomadating. We called a few hours before we arrived, they had space and said they would hold a site til we arrived and could pay then. They told us about local restaurants, gave us a pumpkin (they had offered pumpkin painting to welcome in fall and had leftover pumpkins) and told us about all the new renovations they had planned and even offered a hot biscuit. Would definitely stay here again when in this area. You do get road noise from I 40 but the convenience of easy access was worth it. We didn’t use shower but saw bathhouse and it does need updating.

If you are planning to use the rest room for shower or toilet, Don't. Looks like they have not been cleaned in weeks. Nasty

We stayed here traveling from Michigan to Grand Canyon. We stayed here due to every hotel being full in Amarillo. We called late, got a spot for our roofnest- rooftop tent. Price is reasonable for what it is. Bathrooms were clean. We were the only tent and the site was quiet. You can hear highway noise which didn’t bother us

Not a bad place. Clean restrooms. But a little above average rate. $39.00 per night this is what I paid July 2020 On way back through I skipped the place and went on in to Amarillo or south of at the Palo duro canyon park just as nice amenities but at only $25.00 a night. So I’ll continue to skip walnut.

This place takes cash or check only. It’s 28 per night plus 3 for each person beyond 2. This is a stopping through kind of place.
