We stayed here on a family road trip with my husband, 2 kids and pup and it stood out as a favorite! Lots of family activities to do nearby - NASA was a highlight for my kids, the fishing for my husband and the historical home visits on Galveston Island for me. Nice park and nice people

I don’t normally write reviews, but after a really nice stay, I wanted to share my experience with the community. I spent a bit of time touring around the area, including a trip to NASA, Galveston Island and a super interesting historic site that I hadn’t previously heard about (San Jacinto Battleground). I wish that I could have stayed longer - 5 stars!

I enjoy getting down to the gulf coast from Fort Worth every chance that I get and Bay RV is my go-to park to bring my camper on long weekends. They nearly always have a shady spot for me, and I’ve never had an unfriendly neighbor. Recommended!

After looking around the area for the nicest and most affordable place, we ended up choosing Bay RV Park near Dickinson. It was a nice place to hang our hats for four days and just relax. Nice people, peaceful and good value!

Bay RV near Galveston Island is the bomb! We had a sweet, shaded spot near the edge of the place with a great cement pad, picnic bench and far enough away from the other campers to have a quiet and relaxing visit. Highly recommended.

We discovered Bay RV right at the beginning of the pandemic and it is so nice we just keep coming back. We live in Aldine, just North of Houston and this park is now our go-to for our long weekend getaways in the Texas City area! Great location, great rates and not overcrowded. https://bayrvpark.com/texas-city/

This is our 3rd year stopping at Bay RV. It’s our favorite RV Park, probably because of the friendly crowd and central location. We like to day trip up and down the coast from Houston to Galveston Island and we’ve found San Leon to be the perfect balance of location and reasonable cost. Highly recommended!

We phoned ahead and the manager booked us into one of their pull-thru sites, which turned out pretty perfect. Heaps of room and nice, level cement pads. Hookups were really easy and included the usual electricity, sewerage and water. There was plenty of space to park our mini cooper too, which we used to get around the area. Most of the main sights are within 30 minutes' drive and we saw plenty of highlights during our stay. Galveston was definitely a favorite. The historic town center had some great little shops to explore, and we ate out often at the nearby restaurants. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely come back to Bay RV.

Both our families bought our RVs and we got two large pull-thru sites next to each other which gave us lots of space. We spent a lot of time at the park on the outdoor picnic tables, eating and chatting. We also visited lots of the nearby areas and the Kemah boardwalk was definitely a favorite. We spent many nights in different restaurants (Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was a lot of fun!) and checking out the amusement park! The managers were helpful when we booked the two sites to make sure we were next to each other and the park was really nice and clean. We had everything we needed and it was a lovely, peaceful spot to enjoy some family time together after a hard year apart. Thanks for a great stay.

They have some work to be done in the laundry area due to the hard freeze. I was asked the year of our 5er but I didn’t see evidence that others were. Internet was good. Cable which is DirecTv was very poor picture. There is a dollar general about a block away that has most of what you could need in a pinch. Brand new gas station/convenience store is being built right next door.

Enjoyed great seafood, and site seeing. The Park is centrally located between Houston and Galveston so there was plenty to do within a short driving range. Really had a good deep sea fishing trip out of Galveston and a good tour of the NASA spacecraft facility. The staff was helpful and the facilities were very good.

We stayed here because everything on Galveston Island was booked due to Spring Break. Mostly long term residents, working in the oil industry around there is my guess. Everyone left at 5:00 am and was gone all day.Very quiet, which was very nice. Way out of town for services....It was clean and a good rate.
