Great location, took the bus downtown one day and rode my bike to the missions the second day. Grounds are well kept and amenities are wonderful. Nice hot tub and pool to enjoy. Would stay again.

The campground is a nice haven that is very convenient to all the sites of the area. Our site was a little tight, but not bad. Everything worked great, including the wifi. Be sure to use the directions provided by the resort, and NOT your GPS. We were thankful we followed that advice. While using GPS around town, I was really glad not to be pulling our trailer! We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

That way if we want, we can leave the big dually at the park and use the city buses. This is a clean, well organized, full service park operated by Sun Resorts. It offers a Good Sam discount and is large, with lots of level FHU sites, cable, WiFi, dog park, pool, hot tub, exercise room, camp store, and more. The roads are asphalt and sites are gravel with long concrete pads and picnic tables. The interior sites are pull through and there are back in sites around the perimeters. Right next door is a great walking path along the San Antonio River. There are some shorter back in sites, but most are plenty long for big rigs. The sites have grass between them and are ample in size. Many sites have shade trees. There are some rental cottages; there are also some well kept park models used by full timers. Both Verizon and ATT cell signals work well. The park WiFi worked well until the park was full in the evening. We’ll keep using this park.

We took urber in to the city. The not so nice includes the following (1). Arrived late and saw the sign to proceed to your site and check in in the morning. I didn’t see the box with information so I didn’t get the passcode to access the bathrooms or the WiFi password til the next day. (2) at 9 am a grounds crew arrived and started loudly leaf blowing all around my site including around the picnic table where my dog was tied up scaring my dog. There were tons of empty sites they could have started at first plus 9am is too early! (3) staff were rude in the office. (4) I was taking a shower in the restroom next to the hot tub with shampoo in my hair and someone came promptly at 10pm to lock the gate. Luckily my daughter was outside and let me know, so I moved to the shower next door with shampoo still in my hair to finish the shower. Otherwise I would have been locked inside the fence. (5) sites are really tiny.Overall, I would stay here again because of the location, but I was not pleased with customer service at all.

Our bikes were stolen here last night, AND they were secured down. The SAPD officer who responded to our report stated theft is a common problem here, especially with bikes and sometimes break ins. He is called here once or twice a month. There is only one way to enter the park, but unfortunately they have no video surveillance here. When expressing my displeasure to the office staff about the lack of security for a known problem, they refer to their check in disclaimer about securing your bikes while here. The Sun RV Resort management apparently don't feel the need to assist in protecting their guests and/or their property by this park's example. This park is in a great location for those who enjoy biking, right on the River Walk biketrail, so obviously many guests will be bringing their bikes. DO NOT EXPECT THEM OR ANY OTHER PROPERTY TO BE SECURE IF YOU DECIDE TO STAY HERE!!!!!

Pretty nice for an RV park. Nice pool area. Close to the river walk, which is very well maintained. Sites are small, but there is a little green area next to each. Be sure to follow their directions and not your GPS, as there is a very low bridge one way and bottom scraping RR crossing another.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here and I have to say it has always been enjoyable. Sure, it is about as much as I pay for an RV park (Good Sam rate included) but with full hookups, cable, well laid out, beautifully maintained (raked pea gravel), WiFi, huge laundry, dog area, community area, lovely pool, hot tub, nice office staff, basic convenience store, and more, it is pretty nice. All this along with being located right on the amazing bike/walking path on the San Antonio River which connects directly to downtown, and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. This time we rolled into town without a reservation thinking we would find something reasonably close in that would serve its purpose for less money, but it didn't happen. In the end, we were fine with that as the convenience and service here can't be beaten. The free WiFi wasn't great but it rarely is, though you can pay to upgrade. That is hardly worth losing a star over particularly with being right in the city with full coverage by all major carriers.

Larger rigs definitely need to go in the pull throughs since the backins are fairly tight. Sites are close together but the park staff kindly spaced people out since the park was only about half full during our stay. Not having immediate neighbors on either side made our experience much better. Utilities generally worked (though we did have an open ground on our electric post which resolved when we switched to the 50amp plug). There is a pool which is very small but still looked inviting. The bathroom and laundry facilities were in very good condition and immaculately clean. We liked the location near the missions and immediately adjacent to the Mission Reach section of the River Walk. Our biggest issue here was the price -- the winter price of $58/night was significantly higher than we would typically pay for an average commercial RV park, but it may be a function of the location and season. There was occasionally some horn noise from a nearby train but we found it easy to ignore.Cell service on AT&T was excellent and consistent with being an urban area. Although I didn't record speeds we were able to stream with ease.

The previous review summarizes our impressions nicely. We live full-time in our 25 foot Leisure Travel Van and do not tow a car. We have two electric assist bicycles for causal transportation. The park is situated about half way of the 10+ miles of trail south of downtown. I made numerous runs into downtown San Antonio via the Riverwalk along the San Antonio river. I also made several grocery store runs to a H-E-B Superstore about 4 miles away. The Riverwalk is very well-kept and scenic. Downtown is very bike friendly. I also made a few trips out away from town and visited several of the mission sites. The government was closed during some of our time here, but the mission grounds were open and worth a visit. We used the showers that were regularly cleaned and new. Verizon service was such that our hot spot worked well, so can't say anything about the WiFi provided by TW, though they state the WiFi is not for streaming movies. There is some highway noise, but it's minimal and quiets at night. Trains occasionally pass relatively close by and since there are numerous crossings they sound their horns frequently when passing through. We were city dwellers in a past life and the horns did not bother us.The staff was helpful the few times we engaged them.

They showed us the open spots on a map and let us pick which one we wanted after driving around. Some claim the are is a bit rough... its not. It's an industrial area that is plenty safe. There are 2 roadside motels next door, but otherwise nothing that would make us feel unsafe. Shopping like Walmart, grocery stores, etc. is all nearby as well. It's a smaller RV park, but you can tell they take good care of it. The bathrooms near the pool were just renovated and VERY nice. The pool and hot tub were great. We used the hot tub quite a few evenings, although one night the chlorine was so strong we had to leave. The proximity to downtown San Antonio can't be beat. We took the bus (the stop is directly across the street from the park entrance) and also Uber to and from the city. We also biked along the river walk path to a few of the Missions nearby. We would definitely recommend this RV Park and would stay again next time we're in the area.

Both back in (mostly used for monthly) and pull-through) shorter term sites are available. Each site is FHU, but water pressure is an issue (it's high!) so bring a regulator (or purchase one for a reasonable price at the office.)Sites aren't super spacious, but do provide some space (ranging from 10ft to 30ft) between neighbors. While the RV park is older, management and employees keep this place looking sharp. Management and employees also seem to have a vendetta versus fallen leaves, and take it upon themselves to leaf blow the entire park thoroughly everyday - sometimes multiple times a day. The pool and hot tub are cleaned daily, open year round and kept at a palatable 83º, while the hot tub is kept at 103º. Both pool and hot tub were even open when it snowed one evening in December. (Open 10am-10pm)The park offers a brand new small, but decently stocked fitness center and a yoga room where they play a yoga video each morning at 9am and all guests are welcome to get their namaste on. There is also a pretty nice library, a guest computer, and a game room with ping-pong, air hockey, pool, puzzles, and a television. (Open 8am-10pm)The RV park is adjacent to the Riverwalk's Mission Reach portion, about 4.5 miles from the downtown Riverwalk area. Bike rentals are available along the Riverwalk. Apparently you can catch a bus at the busstop right in front of the park office to go downtown, but we chose to use Uber/Lyft ($8 ride) when we didn't want to bike or drive downtown. For the first few weeks of our stay a train came by at about 4am each morning and made its presence known, but for the latter few weeks of out stay the train and its lovely little horn were MIA. (We weren't sad)We did note that the Verizon tower seemed to get overloaded at times, slowing to a crawl in the evenings. Our AT&T was consistently slow. Park free WiFi was usable most of the time, although in the evenings it got a bit bogged down. We did not pay to 'upgrade' the park WiFi package, but apparently that is an option. Cable hookups are offered at each site.

We were very happy with the location and overall park.

It is on the bus line - all you have to do is walk across the street and hop on to get downtown. The Mission Trail bike/walkway along the river can be accessed right from the park. This is a 21 mile path that runs along the river with access to the missions along the way. The only thing missing is a bike rental station right at the park, but maybe next year! The neighborhoods surrounding the park are definitely run-down, but never felt unsafe to us.The sites are all very neat and tidy, with gravel parking and grass surround. Each has a concrete patio and a picnic table. Those in the back of the park are fairly well spaced, but in the front of the park they are so close you almost could reach out and touch your neighbor from your camper. We met some other Airstreamers here who said their neighbor had to pull in his slide-outs so they could get in their space. Mostly this place full of snow-bird big rigs, but there seems to be some children and families as well. The bathrooms are clean, but a bit old. Staff are helpful.WiFi was actually pretty good here and there was a decent cable TV selections.Be sure to follow the directions the staff give to get to the park, and not Google map directions! Access following Google will take you across a huge railroad crossing that will take out the bottom of your trailer.
