Small older "rustic" rural RV park; good enough for an overnight stop on a long trip. Not fancy nor particularly developed. Gave us a chance to charge batteries and spend a night off the road, which was all we needed that evening. The park appeared to be mostly populated by long-terms, though it was not full. We did not meet any of them. The person who took our reservation was nice. And a different person checked us in who was friendly, helpful, walked us to our site and made sure we could hook up without issues. Getting past a tree at the entrance was a little tricky, but we had no scratches. Looks like they have to trim that one regularly; good if you happen to arrive after that. Apparently some of their power pedestals may have problems, so they carefully choose a site for us with a good 50 amp plug. The site was grass and gravel. They honored Passport America for a discount. Would stay again if the same circumstances presented themselves, but we personally would not consider this to be a destination to stay for any length of time. Some of that is not the park's fault--there's just not a lot to Post, TX. There is a some traffic noise from the highway, but it dies down at night. From the RV park one can walk to a nearby (unaffiliated) Mexican restaurant, though that restaurant is only so-so. Late in the evening in Post, there is not a lot from which to choose. BYO groceries and stay in your rig for a better dining experience.
