Pull-through sites were easy to navigate. No shade, but that has more to do with the area than the park. We called late in the afternoon seeking a spot and left a VM. The owner returned our call quickly and gave us instructions for (the easiest) after hours check-in and payment. He was so friendly and accommodating. We’ve earmarked this park should we head through the panhandle again.
Nice, easy, clean, convenient, and well priced

The management or staff who helped us by phone were nice and helpful, especially as we planned to arrive late in the evening. The pull-through site was flat and well kept with water, sewer, and electrical connections in good working order. The shower house/bathrooms were clean and visually appealing. The only 2 things that kept me from rating this a perfect 5 stars is its somewhat close proximity to the highway. I’ve stayed at worse RV sites a few times and the road noise here wasn’t bad overnight, but still more than others. Also, as of 10/2021 there was on-site wi-fi , but I couldn’t seem to connect. This is often important to travelers and may be something to get squared away for customers. Luckily it was only a short, overnight stop for us.I would stay there again and definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This park is a bit of a gem for the money, as the sites are level and spacious, and the staff are friendly and the restrooms and laundry facility are all very clean and tidy. The park is alongside the highway, so you do get some road noise. The only slight negative that we ran into was that it rained during the night and, while the RV spot itself is gravel, the sites are a mix of dirt and grass, After the rain things did get a little muddy in places. Despite that, we highly recommend this RV park and would stay here again.
New & clean and run by the best people!

We pulled in to their RV park in the middle of the night hoping to get some rest. The next day we were so surprised to meet Page and Mark - the nicest people in Plainview and maybe all of the panhandle of Texas!!! They are such great people and it is the cleanest, newest, nicest place available on the road - we actually changed our trip on the way home to stay with them again. They remembered our kids by name and we look forward to seeing them again. The washhouse is so nice with new appliances and each shower has it's own private room with all the amenities. We highly recommend the Hitchin' Post and look forward to stopping by again. 30 & 50 amp service and full hookups.
