We came in for an overnight and were welcomed on the phone by one of the owners before arriving. She met us at the gate, chatted with my 6 year old with interest and a smile, and helped us park with genuine interest in our happiness. The owner had to run to Back to School Night, since she is also a local teacher, but she promised to check in with us by phone and gave us a welcome invitation to roam the property, which includes a 5 acre pond with fishing poles waiting at the dock, lots of hills and forest, and friendly cattle and their calves lazing around. There are only four sites right now, but the owners are working on cabins and are developing for the future. The fulltimers in neighboring sites were friendly and welcoming. We wish we'd had more time to get to know them!We parked in the grass, took a stroll down to the pond, and felt welcome throughout. We've kept in touch with the owners, even helping them scout out materials to build out their park as we traveled on into Louisiana! It was a pleasure to meet with Michael in Natchitoches, LA the following week and have lunch together along the river... all after staying one night in their park. If you want to feel safe, welcome, and serene, this is the place to go. <3
