Came in just in time to set up before dark. Great overnight stop if you are on the way to Yellowstone or Glacier. Wonderful, friendly staff. Quiet night even though the place was full. Bit really any negatives just A little too wooded at my spot for my liking but I’m a big, open space person. Overall a great overnight stay.

This KOA really gives KOAs a bad name. The road in is narrow and very bumpy. The entrance road is barely wide enough for two cars. We booked based on the beautiful photos- this is NOT what the campground looks like. The “deluxe” corner site was smack in front of the check in office and against the line for the dump station. By far the least appealing site I’ve seen. We left and did not even stay here. Stay away. Osens and Yellowstone Edge are fat superior options.

Not impressed, but KOAs are not my favorite. These spaces are quite tight, and we likely are in the worst one the park has to offer. Surly staff at the front desk. Laundry not adequate for a campground this large. Worst campsite of our 6 week adventure.

While this is certainly not the closest (or nicest) RV Park to Yellowstone, we have preferred staying at KOAs and using our membership. As far as KOAs go, the sites in this park are hit-and-miss when it comes to space. Some sites seemed super crowded, while others seemed spacious. There’s no doubt the best spots here are 58-61 on the river. We selected a Mountain View Deluxe Patio site (staying in site 2), but the map doesn’t show you that there are unmarked seasonal sites between you and the mountains that nearly completely obstruct your view of the mountains. Because of the Covid issues, we didn’t use the pool, the store, or any other amenities, but the showers and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Another member of our family stayed in one of the cabins and reported it as clean and comfortable. You should note that, while it is a pretty drive, you are an hour from Yellowstone’s north entrance. Leave for the park very early to beat the crowds and expect to get home late and tired. It’s do-able, and we fit in a lot with white water rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing and touring a portion of the park over our three days here. This was a decent base camp for all of that.

Stayed in site 84 which had no neighbors on one side and beautiful view of mountains. Contactless checkin. We didn’t use amenities to be safe from germs. Back in wasn’t too hard and we did it after dark.

Great spot for getting your ducks in a row before Yellowstone. Kind staff, super clean facilities, good WiFi, peaceful vibe. It DOES smell like cows when the wind blows right but that’s not really a downside for me.

  • Nice park, friendly hosts, best ever campground dog park

Enjoyed this peaceful park just outside Yellowstone before the start of the season. Had great site across the campground road from the river. Best was the dog park: shaded, path, natural plantings. Staff very friendly.

Spaces are tight -like a couple of feet between rvs. We did not fit with the truck + fifth wheel even though I reserved a pull through online and answered each question about size and slides. Had to park the truck elsewhere and ask the neighbor to move his truck in order to leave - the turn was much too tight. Also, it's on the river but you can only access the river via a camp spot, so if you didn't reserve one of those, you'd have to access it via the main road.Staff were very pleasant and even helped us get into the spot -they are doing the very best that they can do! The bath houses were clean and there were nice places to walk the dog.T-Mobile cell service struggled and the camp wifi was too weak to load anything (the park was full) - we'd prepared, so it wasn't a huge deal. For the price and lack of space, I'd probably try a different campground next time.

We prefer National Forest campgrounds, but sometimes you just want something close to the highway and a place to do laundry. The other commercial campgrounds in Livingston looked awful, so this was a sweet surprise. Right on the Yellowstone River, up against beautiful mountains. A cafe nearby (turn left out of the campground). Very well maintained. Trees and shade. Workout equipment by the playground. Nice laundry with a lounge area to read or watch tv. Breakfast served Thurs -Sunday. Small camp store. We did not experience bad smells or odd behavior. Free WiFi was appreciated.

  • Quieter than some, & right by the river. But, cattle smells, & a control freak workkamper at registration

We were glad to find this relatively quiet spot shortly after our visit to Yellowstone. But when we walked down to look at the river, the smells of the cattle farm across the river were pretty strong. And the workkamper at the reg. desk was unpleasant - controlling and judgy. Also minus one star for being high priced.
