It's hard to get too excited about this park, because it is a park, not a resort. No picnic table or fire rings, and not the kind of place you're likely to spend long evenings outside your camper. Not much for kids to do if you are on a family vacay. But it ticks the boxes if you need to be in the area. I needed the location for an overnight for an early Saturday morning event nearby. Arrived at sunrise, so we just grabbed a pull-through and set up quickly to be on our way. It's a pick-your-site place. I probably chose one of the worst spots out in the middle because I didn't have time to scope out better sites. My bad. Some spots on the perimeter have shade and even small wooden decks. Many of these seem to be long-term folks. Much of the park seemed to be long-term rentals, but it was at most half full. I'm guessing many probably work in Huntsville, which is only minutes away. Folks are friendly and the staff is relaxed. We were there sunrise Saturday through Sunday about 4pm, and they only charged us one night. Management lives on site, and although it isn't gated, the park felt very safe and secure.Full hook ups w/50&30. I had no problems with utilities. AT&T cell service was fine and the free park wifi was good. The sewer at our site was a long way (50+ feet?) from the water & electricity pole, so you may need long hoses & cables. At least a 20-foot sewer hose helps. For long-term rentals, you can have fiber-optic high-speed internet installed. We saw one going in across from us.The park landscaping is just OK. A decent amount of grass. Reasonably level gravel sites. It's back off the highway, so it's very quiet. There aren't many trees in the main part of the park, but it is surrounded by East Texas pines, so the air is nice--at least when your neighbors aren't smoking. But they smoke a lot.I'll probably be back for a one-nighter in the future because the location is good for me. I'll probably select a back-in nearer the trees.
