I was working in Hearne. The roads are good gravel and the pads are concrete. There are no shade trees, a very basic campgrounds. It was quiet, but in the morning there were people heading to work, some as early as 5 o'clock in the morning. I thought this was handy for Collage Station area, about 28 miles, 4 lane roads. The Pony Express Bar & Grill was a good place to eat and I enjoyed traveling to some of the other small towns around. There is and interesting small park just north and west of town call Camp Hearne. It was a Prisoner of war camp in WWII. Here's a website http://camphearne.com/. It's not a well developed site but the are hiking trail and information boards telling about the camp.I hope to get back there soon and will sty at Brazos Trail again. Maybe next winter. I had just paid for another for another month when my plans got chance and they were nice enough to refund my full rent! Here is their website: https://brazostrailrvpark.com/about/
