This is the only RV Park we've stayed at in the Midland-Odessa area, but it definitely looks like it is among the nicest in the area. From shopping around, most of the RV parks seem to be just dirt lots to shove long-termers in. Palms of Paradise is fully paved with concrete. Almost all sites are pull-through. Maneuvering is a bit tight for big rigs, but we handled it in our 37' 5th Wheel. All sites have 50 amp and water/sewer. All sites have a grass area that is mowed weekly. Very quiet at night. There are many families that are long-term living here, but the park makes sure their RVs are well-kept. There is a playground and a clubhouse with laundry facilities. Laundry is free, and there are two laundry facilities: one in the clubhouse, the other at the back of the park. The only downside of this park is its location. It is quite a drive off I-20 and if you are planning on staying in the Odessa area for a while, you'll put quite a few extra miles on your vehicle commuting to town. But hey, it's the best around!Other downsides are going to apply to any RV Park in the area: bad smells sometimes emanate from the oil wells, and the winds can be a bit crazy at times. We have family in Odessa, so we are fully planning on staying again the next time we come to visit!
