Laundry room is spacious. 8 machines each, I think, although 3 washers were out of service and one I used did not run properly. The 'playground' is not appropriate for small children and should be removed. The swings are very wobbly. The only other piece was a metal climbing structure but it was too tall for my 5 year old. A playground is not a must, but it's a bummer to find one that isn't even usable.Very quiet park. Most people seemed to be staying just 1 night like us. It filled up quickly throughout the evening and lots of people cleared out first thing.

On the way here we considered staying at a highway rest stop but the Texas rest areas seemed sketchy, so we pulled in here. Most spaces were full but they have envelopes on the office door after hours with assigned open spaces and we grabbed one. It’s near the freeway but far enough that the moose isn’t bad. Bathrooms and laundry are clean and there’s even a small diner on-site that we may try for breakfast. The place is very clean and lots of pull through sites with adequate spacing. It’s better than most private campgrounds and we would stay here again, although I would call ahead next time just to be sure we get a space, as there was only one open space envelope left when I went by the office around 8:00 pm. The cell service is great, although wifi would not work on any of our Apple devices. They have cable but we didn’t hook it up.

First time at this RV park, I usually stay in Van Horn when coming east. Was able to do a couple more hours which landed me here. Love that they have a cafe with really good food. Makes a long day of driving worth it not to cook. So yeah, I loved that. The sites were fine and the dog park is a pretty good size.

Our site was level and plenty long - if we’d wanted, we could have left our truck hooked up to the 5th wheel. Restrooms and showers are private. There is a pool and dog yard. There’s also a cafe that serves tasty home cooking, reasonably priced meals. Our portable Dish worked fine; we used it instead of the cable because we wanted a show not on their cable, but we tested the cable and it worked well too. Both Verizon and ATT signals worked. We’ll continue to use this park.

While the roads in the campground are a mix of gravel and asphalt roads, the sites are gravel strips with low-lying grass (one park rule is not to park on the grass). It didn’t rain during either of our visits, but I would guess these sites get slightly muddy when it rains. Our site wasn’t quite level side-to-side, but nothing a board under one of set of tires couldn’t fix. Most sites include a tree, but not all of them are tall enough to provide shade for the RV. There are no fire pits: open fires are not permitted. In addition to the standard bathhouse (where each room had a toilet, sink, and shower), the campground has a number of amenities. They have an outdoor pool, a large dog park, and a small playground. Cable hookups are available at each site, and they sell propane refills. Attached to the office is the on-site restaurant, the Roadrunner Cafe, which serves breakfast and dinner. The first time we stayed, we got dinner from the cafe as carry-out. We couldn’t do that this time because we were there on a Monday, and (at least currently) the cafe is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays. Fortunately there are a few fast food options in Fort Stockton, which is only about 3 miles west of the campground. In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was around 30Mbps down (though I saw 55Mbps during one test) and 15Mbps up, which was enough to stream TV without any issues. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 18Mbps down and 6Mbps up. On a whim, I checked the campground WiFi strength before we left: I got about 11Mbps down and 6Mbps up. I noticed a few WiFi towers/poles around the campground, so I’m guessing the WiFi coverage is fairly even. There is a bit of road noise from nearby I-10, but it wasn’t noticeable within the RV.

Looked for a safe, clean place to overnight and hook-up to reliable 50amp power. Based on reviews, we picked this place, Fort Stockton RV Park. We were glad we did. We called ahead to make a same day reservation and they answered the phone immediately, took down our info and wrote us down. The office was open till 8:00, we got there around 5:oo. Very helpful and nice staff. There is a section with longer term folks, but the section with more trees, shade and grass is for us transients. There are a lot of pull-through sites, more than enough room for our 35' MH and toad. We did not unhook. The sites are gravel, level, with a concrete patio and picnic table. Trees are tall enough to cast some shade in the later afternoon. Electricity was steady and reliable, both ACs ran most all evening and night. Did not hook up water or sewer, but had both at site with convenient location. We were in one of the front row spots. Very convenient for our early morning departure. Was kind of worried about road noise and dust. There was none. The WiFi was as good or better than any we have ever used at an RV park. Good Verizon coverage as well. There is a nice, clean pool to cool off in and a nice big dog run. Get off I-10 on Exit 264 and follow the signs. We will use this every time we need to overnight along I-10.

We had grilled chicken with beans and mashed potatoes and a huge biscuit. WIFI was fast enough to stream Netflix. Verizon was good too. Staff was friendly and helpful.Note, if coming in from the West bound I10, where the ramp intersects with the service road, turn LEFT to get to the entrance.
Great RV park with diner on site!

If we are ever back in the area we would stay again.

This area for miles around was a dead zone for T-Mobile so we couldn't call ahead and reserve a spot. Fortunately we arrived mid-afternoon and there were plenty of spaces. It filled up later in the day.
Nice place for stop over on the way to Big Bend.

They have a dog park for the furry ones to play in, a nice little restaurant on site, propane, laundry, showers and even a pool! The park was well kept and clean. Fort Stockton was @ 15 minutes with a Super Walmart for provisions. This was the last larger town for us to resupply before heading to Big Bend National Park.

We stayed one night and it was perfect for that, not much else going on to make it a destination. We met a nice couple and all the other rigs and campers seemed nice. Bathrooms were a 6-7 out of 10, didn’t shower. Herb, in the office was very friendly! For our Jeep and 20 foot rig our site was PERFECTLY level!

(But that also meant noisy)What made our experience difficult was arriving in the dark. The park has lit signs but the road, but we still didn't see them well. The road is somewhat narrow and Google maps told us to take a u-turn down the service road - which was completely wrong. It was difficult to navigate the park and the size spot we requested was no where near big enough. Our camper barely fit let alone the pick-up. We ended up finding a slightly larger spot. Unfortunately, it wasn't level at all. The park residents were friendly and I did get a glimpse of the dog park, it also looked nice.

We made a reservation in advance just in case, and it turned out to be a good thing as the park was full that night. $34 was the Good Sam rate. The park, a former KOA, is a typical RV park with fairly close rows of gravel pull-throughs, but with enough trees to break up the monotony. Our pull-through was just long enough for our motorhome and tow car, but the sewer was all the way at the back of the site and we couldn't reach it even with our sewer hose extension. The WiFi worked, but slowly, when we first arrived, but by evening it was unusable. AT&T and Verizon had good signal, but AT&T data was extremely slow (overloaded tower maybe) while Verizon was fast. There's a good-sized dog park. Despite being very close to I-10 there was very little highway noise, at least from our site. We'd definitely stop here again for an overnighter.

They have many long pull throughs for all the one nighters. Site and roads are gravel and rather close but fine for the night. Our row of sites was very level. It is quite dusty arriving as the road to the park is also gravel. The park has decent WiFi and cable. There is also a restaurant as part of the park that serves dinner and breakfast. The food is suppose to be very good but we didn't eat there. They have a large dog park and a pool. The park is absolutely silent at night.
