The campground is located just off the frontage road that parallels I-35. The speed limit is 55 MPH and narrows down to one lane just as you need to turn into the campground entrance. Easy check in upon arrival. We stayed in site 22 and it wasn’t very level, we needed to be on blocks. Most people around us leveled in a similar fashion. We had a decent size space on our camp side. Not all sites are equal. Site 23 next to us barely had a grassy space. They had a front entry coach which was a bonus for them. If they had a mid entry their door would’ve been right near our hookups & sewer. Yes there was road noise, but nothing that kept me up at night. If bathrooms & showers are important to you, this one would be disappointing. Only one stall and shower that appears outdated. I personally don’t care, but try to stop in just for the review. Laundry room with 4 washers as 4 dryers (one of the machines was out of order). Machines appear to be on the older side. There was a gym area with some equipment. The best part of the stay was the free made to order breakfast each morning. You could get oatmeal, cereal, eggs, pancakes, burritos, French toast etc. They do have Wifi and I’ve seen lots of great reviews about it. The few times that I tried to use it it seemed slow. I just used my Verizon cell signal and had better luck.

Friendly staff, and a FREE to order breakfast (only) and it was excellent!Sites are close together, but not too bad. The site we were on was not level, but a few blocks made it right. There is traffic nose from I35. WIFI was Great!

The Free made to order breakfast was very good. Pancakes looked awesome, and Wildthing said they were awesome. The ladies making breakfast work for tips. Was escorted to our site, maybe I look like shady. Paved roads, gravel sites, pool, dog park, exercise room, laundry room, bath house, and on site RV repairman. Easy off and On from I-35.There is road noise from I-35, which you are next to, but this is a major metro. area.

Convenient to Waco. Only negative is road noise from I35. But, they include a made to order breakfast for free for each person. Not the cheap donut and bagel breakfast like at the hotels. Eggs, pancakes, French toast, home fro, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and juice all free. Wifi and cable tv.

Arrival and check-in is easy per our 3 -day reservations. We are able to follow and are directed to our site via a park worker on a golf cart. The site is limestone and level. Full hookups are provided; we stayed at site 62 with 50 amp service. This is a large RV park with permanent camp sites for workers, etc. Amenities include a pool, free breakfast (volunteer cooks accept tips), awesome WiFi (fiber) connection, a dog park, a pet wash station, fishing, a fitness room and quiet neighbors. For this type of campground, my only negatives are no fire rings, picnic table and as expected - the Interstate is very noisy.Positives are the awesome WiFi and the closeness to downtown Waco, the Suspension Bridge, the Silos, the Ranger Museum and The Mammoth National Monument.

  • First campsite ever. Stayed here 1 month to prep for full time travel. Good FHU sites. Pool. Breakfast. Dog area w/ wash.

After calling 9 other parks in the Dallas area, which were full, this one said, "we're never full!" I guess that could be a bad thing if it were so terrible no one ever stayed, but that's not the case. This place is just HUGE, with over 200 sites; covered, shaded, or unshaded with pull-throughs and back-ins.We stayed for a month ($325 + Electric @ $0.14/kWh). We had to put down a $150 deposit for elec. and we used $136 worth in July with 1 air conditioner. Our site was decent with a little bit of shade. There is an on-site RV repair guy, which I was thankful for when I couldn't figure out a problem I was having with my water pump. <$70 for 1 hour labor and $11 part, which I thought was fair, and I learned something new about my water pump (priceless)! There is a mix of people who live there full time, stay there a while, and camp overnight, but everyone was friendly, including the staff. Pool was nice. Breakfast is served for tips. And, there is a dog area with a wash station, but I used the massive field to let my dog run around (responsibly, of course).All-in-all, it was a good first location, but now we're headed out for full time travel!
