We headed South for an impromptu beach getaway. We were just a short walk from a nice wide beach. Great sand for long walks. It was very quiet at night since this location is in a sleepy neighborhood. There was free WiFi, free laundry and even a great palapa for hanging out. Thank you Bunni and Chris! We will be back.

We can't say enough good things about this little RV park in Crystal Beach! There are only 37 sites, all having concrete pads, picnic tables, FHU and grass patio area. There is great WIFI and a wonderful laundry room with newer equipment that is...wait for it...FREE!!! Chris and Bunni run a wonderful place and they want to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. There is a bit of road noise from 87 but at night it is peacefully quiet! You can hear the surf, which is just down the road. The beach here is one that you can drive on with your vehicle or a golf cart or UTV. Plenty of places to rent one here on the Peninsula. Galveston is a quick ferry ride away, which is fun to ride and watch the dolphins in the bay and all the big ships. And yes, you can take your RV on the ferry. Semis are on it daily. We really prefer to stay over on the quiet peninsula and only go over to Galveston when we need to. Our month long stay in January was very enjoyable. We also booked a last minute, cheap cruise in Galveston and left our RV and dually at the park while we enjoyed the cruise. The park does have cameras and a watchful eye. We did not worry one bit.
