We were right behind the large rope swing. Very popular for the swimmers. It has a nice view of the river and hillside on the Garner State Park. We did not have Verizon cell service but there WiFi relay is on site 3. Not fast internet but decent for social media. They have a store will all the essentials and keep the park well maintained. There is an iron fire pit on each site.

Our 2nd stay here. Right on Frio River in the middle of Texas Hill Country which is cool and fun to swim in. The owner was incredibly accommodating to our family during this trip. This is an RV park that puts people first, no doubt! We would absolutely recommend Parkview over any RV park in the area. The way they treated us and the care they showed us is why this is the only park we will ever come back to on the Frio.

It was a great stay and, before we left, we made reservations to return this year. However, COVID-19 happened, shutting down cities, states...the entire country. We had hoped that by the time we were to make our trip back to Concan the stay-at-home orders would be lifted. However, 3 weeks prior to our check-in date, the pandemic was still raging, state and local orders still in place, in turn, causing us to cancel our reservation. Upon contacting the park, communicating directly with the owner, we were told our reservations would be canceled, but we would not receive a refund of our deposit. They were allowing a 7-day grace period, this year only, due to the virus (7 days from what??). Per the owner, "We do not make exceptions because to do so exposes us to charges of discrimination." I could certainly understand this if the world weren't in the middle of a pandemic, the likes of which has not been seen since 1918. In this instance, given the crisis our country is experiencing, you would think business owners would be understanding and more than willing to accommodate their patrons. The owner's actions are a very bad reflection on Parkview Riverside.

Zero Verizon coverage within 15 miles of park (unless at top of Old Baldy peak at Garner State Park). But, park WiFi signal is surprisingly strong throughout park! Extensive uncrowded roads to bike ride, run or walk. Direct access to Frio River!! Stayed most of January, NO CROWDS and moderate weather the entire stay. Shade trees are ubiquitous.

The wildlife (squirrels) entertained our cats all weekend, there is access to the river in numerous locations with rope swings out into the river, the park is well maintained and each site was cleaned and checked as each occupant left.Wifi was strong and fast enough to stream video, cable tv with the major channels (about 20 stations) all hookups were located close by, and were in good condition, there are a lot of monthly rentals in the park, and garbage is picked up daily. This place is all about the views....the natural beauty are enough reason to visitThe only negative, there seemed to be a pungent smell through out the park that would come and go, possibly someone suggested sulphur?
