The campground was almost empty due to a lack of water in the local river which is very popular for rafting and kayaking. I was delayed a day due to mechanical issues and they adjusted my stay at my request with no additional charge. With the passport America discount it was about $26 or 27 a night a very agreeable price for a full hookup site. When I arrived I met the manager Carolyn, a very pleasant person to deal with and she showed me to my site and provided me with printed guides to the use of the facilities and the password for the included wifi and local cable TV connection both of which are included in the price of the site. The wifi was described as connected to a fiber optic connection to the local telco and was very good. I noticed multiple wifi repeaters throughout the park and I had no problem streaming video and surfing the web.I don't know if the results would be different if the park were full, but I found it to be one of the best wifi connections in all the parks I have stayed at. Which you will need because I could not get any signal from either Verizon or T-mobile. I did use the laundry machines and found the laundry room to be clean and all the machines were in good repair. This is the first time I have been it this part of Texas and the drive down TX83 was enjoyable and the area around the RV park to be very pretty. I hope to be able to return here in the future. Some road noise but not continuous or overwhelming.

We stayed here for a month after moving out of the local state park as COVID-19 lock downs were going into effect. They took us in with no issue and helped place my family in a corner for extra isolation. The site was level and the grounds are very well maintained. Very clean water, solid full hookups.

  • Very nice park and well maintained.

They stress that maintaining a quiet park is a priority. Full hookups with 50 amp. Gravel pull through sites but extremely long. Sites could easily accommodate 60+ foot rigs. There is some noise from Hwy 83 but this stops almost entirely after sunset. The free park wifi was very good but slowed at times of heavy use. With a cell booster we got 14m down and 8 up speeds from our AT&T hotspot.
