We arrived around 6 pm and it was considered “after hours”, so had to leave our credit card info in a drop box. We stayed in one of the sites designated as “first come, first served”. Lots of permanent residents and some shabby units. The site next to ours was occupied by someone apparently sleeping in their vehicle (for one night), which was interesting. There’s a “private lake” on the property that seemed to be the source of the mosquitoes. Guests can fish there without purchasing a license (we did not). Homeless camp nearby. Sad representation of the state of the economy.

The train goes by but if you sleep good. No problem! It doesn’t bother us at all. They only blow the horn during the day! Put a quarter on the track a collect a souvenir!!
