Family friendly place. Staff was polite & always cleaning (Bath houses)& fixing the roads (It rained hard while we were there so roads were being washed out). Every site has a picnic table :-) Laundry room was clean, fast washing time & no problem drying all the clothes (they have detergent/dryer sheets in case you ran out). Office had a little general store inside. Friendly staff!Lots of deer in park at night so be cautious with ticks.Traffic isn't so bad, people are not rude with their driving habits. Groceries, places to eat were close by & friendly people everywhere. Nice place to visit-if you haven't been to Buchanan Dam. Beautiful sunsets on the lake if I might add.

Electric, water and sewage all good. No leaks, no hiccups. Right on Lake Buchanan, we could see lake and sunsets were great. We enjoyed the very nice pool every afternoon just before dinner. Staff is very nice. Sites and lanes are gravel similar to what you’d find on an upscale baseball field. A little dust but not bad. Our site was ...moreElectric, water and sewage all good. Our site was a pull through and was pretty much level side to side but sloped front to back so took some raising of front. Site spacing is ok. Sunday-Wednesday was quiet, not many campers, but Thursday folks started showing up. It has a boat ramp so ideal for locals to spend weekends with their camper and boat. It started filling up. We left Friday morning. We played frisbee golf and walked the short nature trail at the campground. A herd of deer show up every evening to roam the area. As a base camp we were able to take in the Texas Longhorn Caverns (highly recommend) and boat tour the Colorado River (VTRC.com), and tour Fort Croghan in Burnet, and eat Cooper’s bbq in Llano. Only minor to some would be no wifi or cable. Not a big deal for us. Fairly quiet every night except one night some folks got noisy with cussing and yelling. They left the next day. Would definitely stay here again, great place and lots more to explore.
