This location worked well for us for 2 nights and the price was right with Passport America discount. We were in a pull thru site which was pretty narrow and required us to be in exactly the right spot to keep our 5th wheel slides on our site. Very typical for Texas lakeside campgrounds with a collection of older trailers and accoutrements that have been there for decades and some newer. Roads and sites are sand. Seems like it is a place used mainly on weekends. No road noise. There is fun old school playground equipment including a tree house, tree swings, etc you can find several good put in spots for a kayak. Connections worked fine. The owner is extremely welcoming and works hard to be accommodating in spite of the fact he has dozens of political signs and banners for the last election and 2024 all of over the campground. We camped at Beachcomber Park in a 33 foot Fifth wheel.

We love staying by water and to have the lake view right out the window was a huge plus! The park manager, Carlton, was very accommodating and helped us when we requested assistance with various things. The park entrance was a little off when searched on Apple Maps, but if you drive slow enough on the approach you won't miss the sign out front. The spot that we parked in, 53, was a very tight fit. But thankfully we were able to back in and pull without any issues. We even had a little porch with a picnic table! The park is mainly of people who live there or own a lot where they visit on the weekends. This meant that the trash bin on property was full the majority of our stay. The people we met while visiting were very welcoming and friendly.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
