This is a small RV park approximately 30 minutes to downtown Austin. Clean and well kept. Only downside is we could hear some of the street noise in our RV. I would also suggest they add a dog park since the walking area there is pretty small and quick.

I will definitely be coming back! This was well worth the price to have peace and quiet along with plenty of room for my family of three to spread out. Thank you to the amazing staff for making everything quick and easy!

There was an envelope on door with instructions to our site and info about the park. The best way we found to communicate with them was by email. The park is mostly long term but the sites were all neat and tidy. The spacing between sites varied from very spacious to nearby. Our gravel site was plenty long enough for the motorhome and tow. It was level front to back but not side to side. Our DS tires were just off the ground. Interior roads can be a little tight maneuvering in larger RVs but doable. The WII FI didn’t work – we could connect but almost immediately kicked off. Directv worked fine in our site but it wouldn’t be possible in all sites due to trees. Verizon was 4g 4-5 bars which was great as we used our hot spots to get on the internet. It is quiet at night but traffic noise starts up early on Hamilton Pool road and continues all day. The park is about 25 minutes to Austin. There is tons of traffic no matter what time of day. There is a mall about 10 minutes away. We truly enjoyed Austin. We expected another flat, dry Texas town but Austin is the opposite. A very nice surprise! There are no lack of restaurants to choose from – we fit in as many as we could. There are also lots of parks around and opportunities to get on the water abound.

  • Nice commercial park, about 20-25 miles from Austin

Most of the sites seem to be occupied long-term (some as full-timers, others just storage), and overall the park is very quiet. Everyone we met was very friendly, the camp host and owners are helpful, and there was enough grass to walk our dog around easily. The only real negative is the water quality- they assured us it's safe to drink (and I believe them), but while there we drank only bottled water, which we also used for coffee and cooking. The taste was something we noticed on the first sip, but I thought we would get used to it before it quickly became clear we would not. Apparently, they are on a well and most (I'd guess, all) residents drink bottled. We also had some trouble with our washing machine and water filter while we were there, which may or may not be related to the hard water/mineral content (clearly I am not a water expert, but in the 2 months since leaving we have had no further issues).Sunset is a nice park, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend (already have) or stay here again. It's located about 5 miles from an outdoor shopping area including some restaurants, grocery, liquor store, etc and about 20-25 miles (30-40 minutes on a good day) from Austin's more popular areas. We had FHU including Wifi, there are showers/bathrooms and laundry available that we didn't utilize, and they sell propane.

Campground is clean and well kept and we got lots of morning and afternoon sunshine. Had to level out with 3 blocks but no big deal. WiFi is outstanding and definitely nice and quiet. Laundry and shower/bathroom facilities are spacious and clean. Definitely recommend and would come back!
