Didn't have to use our hotspots all that often. Was able to work a normal digital workday and was actually able to stream a couple of movies during the week late at night. Per usual, campground wifi is tough to use between 5 pm and 9 pm.Laundry room was fairly new and well-maintained.Site was spacious with nice fire pit. Lots of space behind and between spots.Close gas, food, and groceries, without feeling busy.Nice dog park.Direction Note: Google will take you to the wrong entrance which is not an entrance at all. Just pay attention and, as always, the big yellow KOA sign will be around the corner, if Google took you down the back way.

I really liked this place. The pull-through worked great, the spot had a dedicated table and fire ring, lots of trees, super friendly staff, and fast WiFi (Verizon and AT&T would have been fine but weren't needed at all). The pull-through worked great, the spot had a dedicated table and fire ring, lots of trees, super friendly staff, and fast WiFi (Verizon and AT&T would have been fine but weren't needed at all). The famed longhorns on the private property next store were an unexpected bonus. The restrooms are super clean. You can tell they take pride in this place. The only downsides (none of which are on the park) are the incredibly busted up roads in the area, the surface street traffic when running out to the store or anywhere else for that matter - horrible - and some truck noise at the Travis County Service Center next door. None of these are deal breakers, though. I'll return.

KOA’s usually are a last resort for us. Typically jammed packed in and close to the neighbors with 25 children running around. This place was the complete opposite. Very spaced out, quiet and peaceful. Very large spot with patio, chairs, and a grill. Pool was great and WiFi was AMAZING! Great facilities, quite, close to all the hustle and bustle of downtown AustinCon: we had a pull through site that our 40’ and toad could not make the turn to pull into without unhooking the dolly. Not a huge deal and enjoyed having an end spot once all said and done.

We were here for 5 nights and had a great stay. The kids loved meeting other kids and playing at the playground and game room. Easy bike riding and walking around the campground. Best WiFi we’ve had at any campground so far. Will stay again soon I’m sure.

Not on a busy street so not a big problem but worth mentioningOnly major con is the condition of the concrete pads at MOST of the sites. Most slabs are way overdue to be re-poured and, as a result, there are pothole sized divots to navigate. It was very difficult to get our rig level because of this. At 70+ a night that just seems silly.

This was a perfect base to work from and enjoy nearby Austin. The cell service was very fast, we didn’t even set up our cell booster. The Deluxe Patio Site was awesome. The staff is constantly working.

This KOA ended up being fine for our needs. It's a KOA and had all the expected amenities - big pull-through level sites, laundry, propane, small store. It is across the street from a nice metro lake park. It's about a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Austin. Easy access but note that the main highway in is a toll road. It is unattended, toll invoice is sent in the mail. If we would have realized this we would have taken a different route. I will also say that KOA staff tend to be too overbearing for my taste, and this place was no exception. They patrol in their golf carts the entire day. At one point a staff member came up to me and asked if he could fix our fire because it wasn't in a traditional tee-pee shape that is ideal for burning..... nothing huge but I just prefer more privacy.

Randy the maintenance man can fix most anything and gets to any problems large or small quickly. We love the showers Our on board shower has a low pressure shower head so it is grand to go to the spacious, clean, individual room really nice shower. The space between the RV pads are large and have a cement patio. We find we can get down town in about 25 minutes and many great restaurants are 15 minutes away. The laundry area has a large table for folding clothes, easy to use rolling wire carts and plenty of washer and dryers that can be paid with our credit card.Their is a large dog park and a dog washing area.A good size swimming pool that is well taken care of.We stay a week and will be returning for our yearly visit to Austin.

KOA expressed little concern but a sorry. And I filled out an incident report. Basically this 2 week stay cost over $2000 with what we spent on site and my loss.I would never camp here again.Another downside outside of safety/theft issue are the obviously horrible road conditions It is crazy that roads have not been fixed. The staff apologize at check in but seems for the cost of the park it would be fixed and looking good. The bathrooms are fantastic though!

Dog park and nearby dog wash area! Little golf area and a catch & release fishing on site. The cutest herd of goats in the back area with tons of brand new babies this week! Free breakfast cooked to order with coffee, milk and juice! They are building covered seasonal parking in the very back of the property....weekend campers don’t go that far back.. Close enough to Waco to explore! We would stay here again.

In other words, you won't be walking or biking from here to go anywhere other than maybe a convenience store. So given its remote location, they do a pretty good job at making it comfortable to stay in the park at least. The facilities are very nice, and the campground is pretty well maintained. They apologized for the road in the park being in poor shape, hopefully that gets fixed. The WiFi was not the best but we had pretty good cell service as backup. Campground was quiet and easy to get in and out of. I'd stay here again but I wish it were more convenient to the city.
