We live in GA had a 5 1/2 hour ride and arrived for our stay on April 19th. We went and checked in. The building was very nice and big, the help there was polite. The lady said once we got to the nice gate , she would open it to let us in, it was like from excitement to WONK! WONK! wonk! I wouldn't even get out of the truck. Our site was the very 1st one you come to. The whole entire area was covered in huge rocks, very unstable to try to walk on. There would've been no way we could enjoy the outside because of them and not be able to walk around. We immediately started calling other campgrounds and found Bigfoot Adventures. My husband and his friend, that was going to stay by us in his camper went inside and told them of our concerns and we could not stay (1) the campsite was not even finished and very unlevel (2) they said they had full hookup, sewer, the guy that works there even told us that our 2 sites didn't have it. (3) the huge rocks all over was a hazard to walk on. This was not crush and run. This is rocks all over bigger than the size of your hand. My husband even talked to the owner, when the help got her on the phone for my husband to talk to her. When we left we were understanding we were going to get atleast 2 nights refund. Then my husband finds out the owner was not giving us our refund, she tried to make it sound like my husband was very rude to to help and her. He was NEVER rude. That is NOT my husband or us at all. He was very polite! He just stated that this campground is not for us and and our concerns about it. The owner is VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! Trying to turn things around on us to make us look bad since we'd written reviews on it. We're usually not the ones to write a review, but this is by far the worst experience we've ever had! Funny, if you read other reviews we're not the only ones that had this experience with her and with the so called campground that is NOT what the website shows at all. The website shows a beautiful area with beautiful views. But, it's a construction site with a mound of the huge rocks right in front of where they were going to have us stay. Trust me when I say beware of Sasquacth Farm, BEWARE!!!

  • Awful if looking for full time, okay I’d you wanted a quick get away.

However my husband and I are full time RV living and we started staying there the end of January-February and had an awful experience. While the camp ground hosts/ management is extremely helpful and quick to respond I DO NOT RECOMMEND staying there for very long as it is extremely over priced for what you get. We had to pay $750 monthly for a campground, where for the first two weeks our our stay, our water was BROWN due to constant plumbing issues. The entire campground is a construction site, full of uninstall materials such as pipes, septic tanks and more. The driveways and parking areas where covered in cat head rocks that, in the short time my husband and I stayed there, we blew 5 tires between the two of us. We asked the management to speak to the owner about the rocks and the damage done to our vehicle, as we had new vehicles with brand new sets of tires on them, but she never responded to the situation whatsoever. The images on the website looks nothing like the actual camp ground as there is hardly any grass and is mostly mud and clay at all the sites. When we first arrived they told us that there was no septic at the sites however they would be able to help dispose of black tank fluids, they did not. We had people with off leash dogs in our site constantly, and even a man walking around with a flashlight in our site and the ones next to us at 9pm.What really turned us away was when the owner Julie came to visit in March, we saw her in our neighbors site taking pictures of their site and vehicles. When I saw her I politely let her know that I had seen them leave earlier that afternoon and that our neighbors were not home. Julie procedure to yell at my husband and I about our neighbors site that they needed to rectify certain issues, such as them doing maintenance on their vehicle early that morning, and the pop cans that were bagged outside their door. We were extremely taken back by her tone of voice towards us when we simply were letting her know that the neighbors were not home at the time. We let the neighbors know that she had been there and what she said to us, when they got back that afternoon Julie threatened to call the sheriffs and told them that they needed to leave immediately with absolutely no warnings whatsoever. With all of these issues my husband and I felt extremely uncomfortable continuing to stay here as our first month or so had been a horrible experience.

I called their desk and inquired about this new campground. The price was two to three times a normal campground with only water and electric. She told me that the slots are huge and we would feel like we are camping alone. I asked about cancellations, and she told me that would give me a refund if needed. She also told me about their trails and waterfalls. Their website shows very nice camping slots. On 28 May, we arrived at the campground about lunchtime. I knew the campground was new, but I did not expect it would look like the initial stages of a construction site. The campground road was covered in very large gravel and the slots were mud and sparse grass. I would only describe my slot as a mud pit. The young man offered me other slots, but they were not much better. The slots were muddy and unleveled. After walking on their gravel road, I felt the gravel size was unsafe to walk on for my wife and two tiny dogs for daily leisurely walks. The campground did not resemble their website and seemed hazardous to small animals and elderly, especially during limited visibility and wet weather. We called the front desk, and the office said they would refund our money. We took them at their word. We received a cancellation confirmation that stated if due, a refund would be issued in 5-10 days. On 7 June, we called their office to inquire about the status of the refund and they told us that we are not getting a full refund and hung up on us.We were charged a cancellation fee for the entire amount of our 3 night stay ($218) even though we were told by phone, while still on their property, we would receive a refund electronically. We have filed a complaint with the BBB. Sasquatch Farms has yet to respond. It has been over 21 days. The BBB has reached out to them for a second time. We are patiently waiting for Sasquatch to keep their word.
