Overall the place has a great community vibe and you can tell it’s the type of place where everybody knows everyone, yet they are still welcoming of newcomers. There are definitely a lot of long term residents here. The rafting company also has a bar and had live music on the weekend that you can easily walk over to.The river and the gorge are beautiful and it’s an easy place to hang out an enjoy nature. The bathhouses are nothing special but are clean and have hot water. The ones in the building with the office have a door that locks vs the ones in the green building just have a curtain.Cell service is ok but not super fast even with our booster but it was adequate for our needs. The rafting company next door has fiber WiFi and you can easily go hang out at the bar or the office there and use their WiFi if you needed faster speeds. The road getting there is a bit narrow and windy, not sure how bigger rigs do.We initially booked a river front spot but the sewer connection was in such a odd place our hose wouldn’t reach so we moved back a row, overall I’m not sure the river front is worth the premium because you still have rent campers between you and the river.Overall we really enjoyed our stay but can definitely see this place not being everyone’s cup of tea.

  • Great spot, but a little high

Beautiful river and very friendly staff and residents. We have a river spot, which was tight to back into even for our 26’, but there were big rigs there too. It was also a little tight getting down the the campground. But a very nice campground, just not sure it’s worth $75 a night. Maybe $50..? But a very nice campground, just not sure it’s worth $75 a night. Maybe $50..? Just know, and this isn’t a bad thing, but that is very river campgroundesque. This is not a RV resort by the river lol, there a lot of tent campers pitching up by the river too on the weekends and a lot of people in and out bc of rafting and kayaking. Seemed to be quite a bit of long term residents, and some of those sites weren’t as well kept. All in all though, it’s beautiful and we enjoyed our stay and the people there.

  • Passing through, it’s a gem!

Wish we could stay longer and it was early summer. The river is right outside our site. Top five white water in USA according to management. A rafting, tubing, activity company is next door. A rafting, tubing, activity company is next door. Campground is very friendly. They do have loose dogs belonging to owners, very docile. Sites are level, full hookups. Wifi is 97% strong???????? Gravel pads, tables and fire ring. They have a large firepit onsite, picnic areas by the water and a beach! The road coming in is narrow and winds down by the river. Our rig is a B+ so managed well. The train runs across the river so not too loud. Would definitely return.
