Our kids enjoyed the playground area, which is quite large. The campground is very dog friendly. The campground hosts were great to work with. Pool was not open yet unfortunately. Easy check in even during Covid-19 times and easy in and easy out too. We would recommend this campground to anyone wanting to visit the Helen/Cleveland, GA area.

Nice quiet, clean campground. They have free WiFi, if you can connect to it. Cell service is spotty. First, it was because the water table was too high; now, they are remodeling. There is a very nice laundry facility in Cleveland. If you love bird watching, this is a great place! Two bird feeders...and there is always a handful of birds to entertain me.There is a nice pool area for relaxing. There is a playground with good equipment for kids. A relaxing firepit area with bench swings for adults. They allow pets, however there is no fenced in dog run.

There are quite a number of permanent sites at the top and over the top of the hill not shown on the map. Streets are gravel surface except for the area of permanent sites where it is asphalt. All the sites are FHU. The site we had was a short pull thru. Many of the sites will require leveling blocks on the gravel surface. The staff is very accommodating. There are people working on the grounds every day, mowing, cleaning, general maintenance. Sites are not assigned until you arrive. Norma will meet you with her golf cart and take you around the campground to view potential camp sites and you chose the one you like best, she also makes sure you don't disobey the rules of the park. 10pm-7am quiet is enforced. Missy is the GM and very helpful to make sure you are happy. We had 43 RV's at the rally and were treated like VIP's. The campground has a club house where you can get WIFI, a nice bath house and restrooms, a very nice swimming pool, shuffle board, volley ball, children's playground, very nice fire pit surrounded by 4 swings. OTA television is non existent, and there is no cable. Located about 4 miles north of Cleveland, GA and about 6 miles south of Helen, GA on Hwy 75. Highway noise is noticeable during the day with many bikers liking to travel the mountain highways, but is very quiet after dark. Western Sizzlin restaurant about 1/10 of a mile away. Helen is made up as an Alpine village with a German flair. Prices in the restaurants are slightly elevated. Lots of sights to see in the area and activities to do. They offer a Good Sam and military discount. 7th night is free.
