They are a bit outdated but serve their purpose just fine. There’s a small camp store with beverages, some memorabilia, and a super sweet staff. They also saw propane, firewood, and ice. We had great cell service here as my husband works remotely and was able to hop on video calls whenever he needed to, using both Verizon and the campground Wi-Fi as well. There is also a cavern attached, and they have paying for gems, arrowheads, and fossils too. It’s a great location up in the mountains and Downtown Chattanooga is about 15 minutes away too.

Lots of shade from big trees, unlike nicer, newer parks. I stayed here in a tent some years back, and it's a decent option to explore Chattanooga. There was construction going on during the day as they renovate an area of the camp. There's an enclosed dog area and lots of green space for walking dogs, plus a trail.

Great location friendly staff we stayed over the 4th of July weekend they had a cookout for the guest and blow up water slide and other items for the kids.We also enjoyed Ben’s tour of the caverns they have on site. We will definitely stay there again when we come back through.

Our site was also very muddy even though it had not rained much recently - would be good to just make a gravel pad here. No issues with utilities (electric + water). Bathhouse was clean but not very well ventilated. Deep potholes on the gravel road could be dangerous on dark, midnight walks to the bathhouse. For us, it felt too pricey for the lack of privacy. On the plus side the staff was friendly, the campground felt safe, and it was close to Raccoon and Lookout Mountain recreation.

Immediately a guy on a gulf cart comes up and says he has to be on a leash. I understand that so we put him on a leash. I asked the girl in the office why there were so many cats and she said to control the pests. Really? Then why are you leaving food out for them? This place is more cat friendly then dog friendly. We were thinking of staying an extra night and I asked the girl if the next night was available and she said yes and to let her know what we decide. The next day I told her we decided not to stay and she said we already charged your credit card and you have to give a 7 day notice. Really? did I tell you to charge my credit card? The staff is NOT friendly and I would not recommend this place. The only thing good about it is that it is conveniently located near all the attractions on lookout Mountain, but I would look at other campgrounds in the area.

You can tell the staff take a lot of pride in their campground and they are very kind, accommodating, and go above and beyond in service. Feels like you are staying with family. Sites are very level and mostly pull through—easy in, easy out. Beautiful views and colors especially in fall! Very quiet during the week. We love the dog park — as does our pup. Also a couple of big fields the dog can play in — off leash; which is not technically permitted though they do not seem to mind as long as your furry friend is well trained. Hiking trail up Raccoon Mountain immediately on site, and the Cavern tour is spectacular (plus discounted for campers!). Sites are close together so if it does get crowded — you’re right on top of each other and each other’s fire rings. Close in to downtown Chattanooga—probably one of the most convenient campgrounds to town— and convenient to Lookout Mountain Trails, Ruby Falls and river recreation. Highly Recommend!

The employees here are incredibly nice and constantly cruising around the campground cleaning up. I had a package shipped to the office and they delivered it right to my doorsteps. There is a nice hiking trail at the top of the hill that is about a mile long and in decent condition. Yes, the sites are a little un-level and there are a handful of visitors that are going to tour the caves, but none bothered us. Overall great campground, well kept, friendly staff, and easily accessible. Will stay again.

These sites down in the 230’s are ridiculously tight. Very few trees. No real feel of the woods. We are parked on uneven gravel pads with barely enough room to parallel park a full size truck. For the kids it is fun because they can go straight to the playground but there is ZERO peace. Woken before 7am by kids yelling at the top of their lungs on the playground. This is just not for us. The positives:The staff is very friendly. They pickup trash at your site. They deliver wood to your site. There are some sites (look like for the big rigs) overlooking the group camping area that have wonderful views.Kids have a good playground.Has a dog run.Negatives: Campground is so loud with so many people packed in together.Zero privacyParking a full sized truck is difficult.Pad is not level.Grass on site was long. Raccoon Mountain Caverns located on the property, so you don't have to travel far to find something unusual to do. Seems popular with kid camping groups on the weekends. There is a good dog park, plus hiking trails nearby. Campground has nice facilities, including pool and exercise room. Looked like most of the short term sites were pull-thru. All sites are gravel. Shade trees, picnic tables, and fire rings. Good WIFI and cable. We are full-timers and stayed a month, so were relegated to a section in the rear of the property with back-in sites. These longer term sites did not appear as well maintained as the overnight sites, which is not uncommon at campgrounds (not sure why). Our particular site was not level side-to-side, which maxed out our leveling jacks. The sewer connection was at the same level as our RV outlet, so I had to improvise. The bathrooms were too far away from the long-term sites to use, so cannot rate their cleanliness. Other than that, our site was fine. Chattanooga has lots of things to do, so I am sure we will be back. We travel in a 36' 5th wheel.

We stayed at this campground for the purpose of doing the cave tour and had a great experience with the caving activity. We very much recommend that experience!Signage to the campground from interstate was ok, but not great. Upon arrival check in was easy and we were led to our site by a guy on a golf cart. The site was gravel and not difficult to get level in. We were in the 30 amp section and sites were pull thru gravel with a strip of grass with a fire ring and small shaky picnic table. The park wasn't full and thankfully they were spreading campers out and not putting folks on top of each other. There is ZERO privacy and sites are small. The pool was right in front of us which gave us a view of a packed loud pool. Campsite and overall the grounds were very clean and there seemed to be many work campers around tending to mowing and things. The bathhouse was fairly clean. Showers had low water pressure and were not set up very well. There was one small hook and a very small shelf up high to put your change of clothes and things on.Campground wifi worked well. There is a laundry room on site. In spite of the signage stating the laundry closes at 8 pm and they will lock your belongings inside until morning the laundry actually never closed. Correct signage would have been helpful as we didn't attempt (but needed to do laundry) due to inaccurate time constraints. We would be open to staying here again if in the area. However, we would likely seek out more private camp sites before returning.
