They also have a military museum that has items starting in WWI through to the present. Many firearms from all actions represented. With very interesting back stories.

As others have mentioned, merely fairly level, wide open, long gravel pads and 20/30/50 amp electric posts with grass between the 8 sites. Nothing fancy but checks all the boxes for a good place to stop for a night or two and explore the area. Plenty of space to remain hitched if towing a trailer. Very convenient to the Badlands and would be a good choice if you were really needing electric while in the area. Nice military museum and gas and diesel pumps as you pull-in (with ample maneuvering room to fill up a rig) with the dump station and potable water station at the CG entrance. We used this two times -- the first to stage for Nomad View boondocking at the Badlands - a great place to dump, fill and get charged. The second time, we used it as an overnight in SD on our way back east from Yellowstone. Well worth the $20. Well maintained, clean and reasonably quiet given it is next to the Interstate. Plenty of signage on the Interstate for this place in both directions. Would be pretty hard to miss.A no-brainer to stay here again.

The owner was personally out walking the grounds picking up any small pieces of trash that had probably blown in this morning. I had a very nice chat with him yesterday evening. It is self-register and pay. Sites are long, level gravel with grass between. The owner states he is experimenting with trying to find trees that will grow in the soil composition. It is obvious he takes pride in his facility. There is a gas/diesel station in front. There is a bit of road noise from I-90, but we did not find it problematic. One of the reviews I read about this place mentioned severe mosquitoes. We have not experienced any mosquitoes. The owner mentioned they were really bad last year because of all the rain, but it is much drier this year. This campground is eleven miles west of Wall, SD in the tiny town of Wasta, SD. The owner also has a military museum on site, but due to the virus it is closed this summer. He did upon learning I am a Vietnam Veteran offer to take me through it, but due to time considerations and some trailer stuff I needed to do I had to pass. He is a very nice guy. Decent Verizon and AT&T cell signals. We highly recommend this campground if passing through and you want a clean, well-kept place to stay for a night or two.

Stopped here for an overnight on our way through SD. Very quiet and safe. There is no office, you just leave money in a box by the dump station. We missed it coming in and got a loud knock on the door at 7 am asking for us to pay. Look for the box and avoid the hassle.

Unattended campground. Honor system to pay at the box. Would have given 4 stars, but I was swarmed with mosquitoes when I stepped out of the truck. Looked down at my feet and more than 10 mosquitoes on one leg. Make sure to bring lots of bug spray!

We went to the Bad Lands and Wall then you’re done. Time to move on after that. It’s a good value.

For just $10 a night it is very difficult to find any negatives, which I have found none. This campground style is a brilliant idea and I hope it catches on! Do yourself a favor, stay here if you're crossing SD and need to pull off for the night.
