Rate noted reflects off-season pricing.Site was nice and level, concrete pad, 50A / 30A / 20A power, 3 different sewer ports which made it easy to hookup. Water spigots in the pull-through spots are above ground, not insulated or heated, so they froze overnight (to be fair they warned people about this in the welcome packet and advised to fill up your rig's fresh water tank as a backup). Pretty quite, although right off of highway 85 between I-90 and Deadwood. Again, this was the off-season so the traffic was nominal, but once the weather gets better you'd likely hear motorcycles all day and night as this is near Sturgis and Deadwood, both big time biker destinations.Park was clean and tidy. Pretty good space between sites with grass and a picnic table. There were a number of longer term residents here, all in nice 5th wheel rigs, but clearly were workers not hobos.Would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Check in was easy and informative. We paid a $44 per night off season rate with Good Sam discount but that does not include the multiple taxes charged. We then proceeded to pull through site 310 with FHUs. The staff put us out in an area pretty much by ourselves with our traveling partner. We used their cable (good variety of channels). We did not upgrade from their free WiFi (about average but the park was not very full) and got 3 bars on Verizon. Water pressure was very good in our area so we used a reducer. They do have a fenced pet area with an entrance fenced area then separate areas for small and large dogs. There are also walking trails. This large CG with separate cabin and tent areas was well maintained and clean. There was also laundry available in the shower houses. The staff is very responsive. We had a question concerning our bill and it was quickly resolved. Nice actual resort campground.

These are both managed by the Frawley Ranch and you can immediately see the difference between good service and what I will discuss below. When I hear the word 'Resort' used in a Hotel or other Hospitality property, I think All-Inclusive or High End. Granted, the grounds at Elkhorn Ridge are impeccable. Everything was clean, the landscaping was beautiful, and for the most part, the overall feel is 'well taken care of'. But, in my opinion, this is where it ends at Elkhorn. It is all superficial. In my opinion, this campground draws you in to make reservations, but once you are here, the experience takes a turn. There are THREE laundry buildings, with two washers and 2 dryers in each. Certainly not enough for the 500+ sites. There is no on-premise restaurant which I would expect also from a Resort. You hardly see a single employee. And when you do find them in the front office, they blatantly put more time into making reservations than talking to the line of current guests standing before them. The worst situation is Wi-Fi. They offer FREE Internet for basic email and web surfing. They then offer 4 Pay-For service levels which primarily talk about the number of devices you can add to your 2 free devices. They also boast Streaming services on the Pay-For services. We did not need to pay for our service because of how our TT is set up, but I spoke with many other guests who said that the Pay-For Internet was just as bad. They were just able to experience it on more devices. The few times I tried to connect, I could not check email or surf at all. For those technically minded, Ping Rates were in the 3000-4000ms if there was a reply at all. And, as noted on the forms handed to you at check-in, if you do have a problem with their Internet, you have three options. 1, Check your device. 2. Check your other devices. 3. Reboot your devices. There is no suggestion that their network is horrible or underpowered or who to complain to. Other points of frustration were, the noise from the road, We were in site 336. The pool facilities had two spas that looked more like half-filled Petri dishes than an inviting experience.

Very nice, very family friendly. Nice location, nice amenities, nice staff. Only complaint was the slow wi-if (you can lay to upgrade for streaming) and expensive laundry ($2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry). We had a great stay.

Also the store doesn’t carry much in the way of staple food items or RV gear in case you are low on those! Otherwise it is beautiful and practically perfect!! We’ve been traveling in the northwest for over a month and this is the nicest campground we’ve stayed in. It offers large paved level pads that are far apart and every amenity you could think of. Great location too. Reasonably priced and very nice people. Great choice if you are going to be in the area.
