We stayed here for one night on our way though to Badlands. It is a nice, quiet very family friendly campground in a pretty countryside setting, just a few miles outside of town. The hosts/owners were so kind and accommodating. The playground was our sons favorite of our big road trip so far!

Great little KOA not on the highway. Great layout making it easy to get in and out. We’ve stayed at a lot of KOA’s and this is one of the nicer ones out there. Friendly staff too!

Nice park, reasonable rates. Staff is super accommodating. Moved us on 4th of July wknd because wife didn’t want to be near pool. Typical KOA lots of kids and noise. But nice shady sites with plenty of room.

Sadly for us, it’ll have to be next visit to use the pool as well.

You always hear the horror stories of parks and their WiFi, or lack thereof. This place certainly doesn’t fit the typical mold. Walked around the parameter of the campground and was consistently getting 10mbps down and up, enough for me to work an entire workday on the park’s WiFi. Otherwise this was a nice little gem of a campground with lots of shaded sites. The only spots without shade were some of the tent sites, but even most tent sites had shade. Clean restrooms, convenient to I-90 but could barely hear the freeway noise. I know a lot of folks shy away from KOAs and in some cases, rightfully so, however this was a pleasant surprise.

This is a nice family campground with tons of trees and shade. It wasn’t a party all night but there are lots of kids enjoying the park. Park WiFi was good and fast.

Quiet and peaceful. Very clean bathhouse. Very nice staff. Big rig accessible with pull-through site. Fun to visit Corn Palace while staying there. Use KOA Value Card to get discount.

I found this park at the last minute and was concerned because a couple of reviews mentioned “highway noise”. I’m a super light sleeper in a Class B Airstream and I heard nothing. Beautiful grounds and very peaceful. The bathroom/shower room was beautifully decorated and immaculate. I would definitely recommend.

This is the only KOA we've ever stayed at, and it delivered just what we needed when we passed through Mitchell: easy access, shade, and hookups for a night. The owners were friendly and the campground was clean and quiet. Can't ask for more. It's an easy drive into downtown for the required Corn Palace visit.

Not as close to interstate as most KOA's which makes it quieter. The owners are very nice and friendly. Lots of shade from trees and mostly grass in the park except for the gravel sites.

Probably the best feature of the campground is its enormous trees which offer ample shade to most sites. It is an older park and a little worn around the edges but overall well-maintained. The layout of sites makes turns a little tight in places especially for longer rigs with toads. You’ll find all the requisite KOA amenities like mini-golf, playground, pool, etc. Convenient to shops and restaurants of Mitchell and the Corn Palace which unfortunately our breakneck schedule caused us to miss.
