Nice campground to stay very close to Mount Rushmore. Sites were adequate but narrow....I had to get the neighbor on my slide-side to watch his awning when putting out my slide so I didn't hit his awning. Staff (Tom) was very helpful. Bathrooms were good enough, not great. Pool looked nice but we didn't go in.

The first night we came in late and able to park in the overflow area. The next day we tried to move into our RV spot, which is tight, and they were very helpful and actually moved the RV for us. The location didn’t work for us and they allowed us to move back to the overflow area which worked perfectly. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this property. The location is close to Keystone and Mt Rushmore.

However, the young woman at the desk has atrocious manners and lacks common courtesy. Upon arrival, she was raising her voice at one of the other patrons, not a good look. Then had the audacity to cut my sister-in-law short while she was explaining a situation with the cabin she was renting and refused to listen further. Lastly, the water well went out. We were without water and that includes toilets for a night and most of a day. Mind you, we paid $220 a night for this cabin. The woman was unpleasant, and quite frankly belligerent. When I asked what would happen if the water could not be fixed she continued to state over and over " honey, this is an inconvenience for all of us. I can't predict the future".No ma'am, I don't believe you suffer with chrones nor have two children who needed the restroom thoughout the night. It goes without saying we were very disappointed with the service. Nothing was offered for the inconveniences.

Heather on the phone, Ashley (I hope I remembered that right) and Mr. Kemp (owner who was out tending to some cable TV issues and went out of his way to help me with a little trailer problem).Minutes from Rushmore and Keystone. A little longer - but not much - to Crazy Horse.Fairly quiet, even next to the road. 70 is right by the little stream. Grandson enjoyed the pool immensely. Showers/RR throughout the camp. For me, this is what family camping is supposed to be. Thanks!

True enough, a majority of the sites are squeezed onto this sliver of land. If this was a major road it would be dangerous with how close some of the sites are to it. There is a tourist train then runs during the day that parallels the road, but that isn’t an issue. The real issue is how close and tight the sites are to each other. This is particularly true for RV and trailers. Tent campers have a little more space. The larger RV spots are so tight you are almost touching. You have room to extend your awning some and use the picnic table, but there it doesn’t make you want to sit out and relax. The smaller trailer sites are somewhat better. When we arrived, they had double booked our pull thru site. We wound up in an overflow slot up the hill with the cabins. Steep hill and a bit tight winding up to the 2 overflow sites. Since were a smaller trailer we could access. I’d say no trailer over 26’ could make it in and out very easy. While we were not pleased about the snafu, being up the hill was a blessing. We had our hookups, a deep and narrow space and privacy. We could sit out in front and had a nice view. It was quiet up there. The picnic table was unusable, so we pulled it behind the trailer to get it out of the way.As for the staff, they definitely weren’t super organized, but were helpful. They did help us out when we had an issue unhooking the trailer. The laundry room works, but is far from glamorous. The bathhouses have some age and appeared to be decent. The pool area got use and appeared to be in good shape. The only way we would stay there again is if we could get one of the 2 sites up the hill. If we had stayed in the main area, we would have been miserable. At $54 a night, you expect something more. What you get by staying here are the hookups and proximity to Rushmore and the surrounding towns and “tourist” attractions. We did have cell service with ATT.

All sites are right on the highway within 8 feet. All sites have barely enough room for a rig and much too crowded. Difficult to maneuver with tress, no turn around so, squeezing between rigs. Unfriendly, rude, unprofessional staff. Check out 11:00. Overpriced!!!! Not good.
