I was in the area for a bicycle race. Pierre/ Ft Pierre are nice little towns. Everything you need is here and not far. The sites are level. All gravel. She has planted a hundred trees, but they aren’t big enough yet. The bike riding on La Framboise Island is top notch.
Nice and quiet

We were in site 16, a parallel parking site overlooking Pierre with no shade. The site was not level but it was private and had unobstructed views of the area. Awesome sunrises right out our door. We sat in our chairs and bird watched in the fields right outside the site. The problem with it for us was there is another site ahead of us (#17) and they were parked so that we could not hook up straight and leave. My husband had to angle the truck in and hook up. Not ideal. Laundry is small but nice. The owners were great and accepted packages for us. If we were in the area again we’d stay here and try to get site 17 for reason mentioned above. We had fast AT&T service. The Ford dealer in town was great - they have a shuttle too. The South Dakota Cultural Heritage Museum is worth a visit.

We arrived on a rainy day and check-in was easy. Lila and her husband Cody are two of the most hardworking owners I've seen. They're active in maintaining the cleanliness of the park and ground upkeep. Also allowed mail packages to be delivered which is a plus when traveling for long periods of time. There's also great fishing spots nearby. The park's WIFI was good (16.7 Mbps download/11.7 Mbps upload).Note: if towing during rainy days, avoid nearby S. Waldron St. (muddy hill)

In addition it has camping sites, volleyball, basketball court , beautiful new shower/restroom facility and laundry. Safe environment and some of the nicest , hands on owners we’ve met during our travels. It’s $30 a night and $500 a month.
