The roads were covered in heavy wet snow and visibility was awful. Thankfully we found this Campground! Their regular sites were already buried under snow, and inaccessible, but they welcomed us into one of their “Emergency” sites that had electric. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The showers and laundry facilities were clean and comfortable. Their General Store had anything that we might need. We would definitely stay again. Our rig is a 36 ft Damon Intruder.

The campground is right next to Black Hills Off Road Rentals, a place we HIGHLY recommend. We had a great experience with a rental from them. The campground is behind a nice gas station. It's not the fanciest place, but is still very nice. The sites are gravel (pull thru and back in) and have a concrete patio, picnic table and a trash can. There are full hookups at all sites. There is NO Verizon service. My husband's flip phone was getting 1 bar of 3G AT&T. But...the campground office/gas station does have a Verizon Booster, so I was still able to get calls and texts. The campground WiFi works as well as satellite Internet can. So all in all, we were able to stay in touch.I was able to get 4 OTA TV channels, NBC, CW, and two stations of Me-TV.The laundry room was clean (3 washers, 3 dryers) and had a TV hooked up to Dish if you needed a TV fix. The individual restroom/showers were very nice and clean. This is some road noise, but it didn't bother us at all. It was fun to watch all the UTVs go by.All in all, this is a great place to stay to explore the Black Hills. We would visit again.

We stayed here at the Passport America rate of $17.50. The campground has level sites, pristine bathrooms, and very strong wifi. It's a 5 minute drive to the town of Deadwood, and about 30 minutes to the heart of the Black Hills. It's not the most scenic place, but it's fine for a night or two.
