We were so lucky and happy to find this place. Great cell, great WiFi, super close to everything including downtown Custer 8min, Rushmore 25min, Custer SP 15min, etc. the laundry room is great and the showers are big and clean. It's a nice camping area, good location for seeing the sights. But chain saws were running at 6:45 am and we needed more sun to charge our solar, so we relocated our last night to Heritage Village. Very friendly service from making a reservation to check in. Sites are small and you hear highway noise (it dies down at night), but $24,80 with GS discount for full hookups when we just paid $26 for no hookups and needed to dump somewhere anyway....it was perfect for what we needed for one night.

Fair amount of road noise could be heard from our site. Clean boathouse and laundry facilities. $2.25/load to wash / dry. Our site was super tight for our 37’ travel trailer. We had to back out of our pull through site to get out. Pine trees on either side made it difficult to maneuver. Picnic table and fire pit take up most of the site. Especially with truck parked basically on top of our neighbors picnic table just to fit in the site.

We stayed here in late August 2018 and had a great experience. We could look out our window and see Crazy Horse! The bathrooms were some of the most well-maintained I've ever seen in a campground and the WiFi was above average speed throughout the campground. For $28/night FHU, I think this is a great value.

Access is a little confusing. Continue past the store/bar down the gravel road to get to the park. Great access for the Mickelson Bike Trail.
