Beach was nicely maintained with picnic tables, lounge chairs and a playground. Minutes from I-95, and a calm and a beautiful area. Very kind and helpful staff. Small store with souvenirs and necessities, pool (unfilled when we were there), playground for kids and dogs, yummy smelling pizzas available for delivery to your site. A problem was that one comfort station was rundown and the other was closed completely. Toilets and sinks themselves were clean but the walls, floors and doors were actually filthy. There were showers available, but I didn't use them. A few long term resident trailers were extremely old and ill-maintained. Sites were close together but pleasant, some were level-ish, most would need some element of leveling. If this campground can spruce up, especially the comfort stations, the nightly price would be acceptable and it would be a terrific place to stay. We camped at Santee / Santee Lakes KOA in a campervan.

This was a one night stay while passing through. The campground was largely vacant and we were place on a site that allowed us to see the lake. Ordered pizza from the local delivery and explored the campground a bit. Campsite spacing above average on our site, Site was shaded and mostly sand.

  • Nice, quick overnight stay

It’s right on the Santee lake and even though we didn’t have a lakefront site we could still easily see it from ours. We didn’t get to just walk around and check things out but the staff were very friendly. I did use their restroom and it was clean. We did like how there were many birds active and chirping, there were some squirrels, we love all the critters. It’s right off I-95, getting to it is simple. It can be a little tight in some spots but anything should be able to get through where your rig will fit. Our site did require a good bit of leveling. Plenty of water pressure, will definitely want a pressure regulator. They serve Hunt Brothers pizza from the office. You can call and place an order, they’ll charge it to your card on file if you’d like, they’ll even deliver it to your site. And the pizza was phenomenal!!Overall we were pleased and would be happy to visit again.

Very nice spot especially if you get a lake view. Just water and electric near the lake but dump on the way out if needed. Nice restaurant on site.

We stopped over here while traveling I-95 July 2020. It was a nice RV park, easy to get to from I-95. Beautiful view of the lake. Our kids had a blast swimming and playing on the playground. Campground was clean and the staff was very helpful.

Sites are almost all pull-through, a definite plus for newbies like us. Site not particularly level front to back, but not impossible. Staff extremely helpful. And the views are stunning. Wi-fi and cell service both excellent. The only downside is road noise from close by I-95, but it wasn't that distracting. I think in summer the lake will be noisy with boat/jetski traffic. We will definitely stay here again.

Quiet, heavily treed, well-spaced sites. Gorgeous sunset over the lake. Would definitely come here again.

Nice space between sites, nice breeze by lake. A few dumpsters had bad seafood smell due to others lake waste probably. A good Mexican restaurant across bridge.

We have stayed here several times for week long stays and even just for an overnight stay and each and every time we are so happy we have chosen this campground. The management and staff are all so helpful and friendly. The campground and facilities are very clean and well maintained. It is located right off I-95 and right on Lake Marion so you can easily walk down to the lake from your campsite. Some campsites even have lake views. It's so pretty. They have a very nice camp store stocked with camping essentials as well as fun gifts to purchase during your stay. They also make pizza onsite and will deliver it to your campsite - what can be better than that after a long days drive. I highly recommend Santee Lakes KOA in Summerton, SC

This a relatively new to KOA RV Park. We had a good full hookup site, level, in the woods with plenty of shade, and a reasonably level dirt site. Appears to be a very popular site for fishing and water sports.
