CONS:I wasn't impressed with this campground. It felt like a Sanford and Son junkyard. There were at least four rundown or dilapidated sites. One trailer had a tree that crashed into it and had been sitting there for years. Another junk pile might have been a Class A at one point, but now it was just a pile of rubble with some tires holding it up. There was at least one trailer in the "residential" section that has so much green muck all over it that I don't know how anyone could live there. There were also pieces of construction equipment rotting in various places, and a rundown mini golf course that wasn't usable. PROS:The site we were at, #8, was clean, and the rest of the temporary sites were also. There was a nice swimming pool, but no chairs around it to supervise children. It was very quiet and not right on top of the interstate like some campgrounds. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Verizon cell service was goodOverall, I would stay here again if I couldn't find anywhere else nearby. But I was shocked and disappointed at the junk. With a couple of dumpsters and a good cleanup, this could be a great campground.

  • Interesting, but very nice stay!

August 2021 stay - We stayed here because my son was living close by and there weren't a lot of options. This is a very interesting campground. It says 44 sites, but it seemed more like 10. The site we had was MASSIVE!!!! There was a small section over to the left when you enter that had full-timers and they had full hook-ups. We only had electric and water which was fine for the week. There was a dump station. It was soooooo quiet and hidden. There were hummingbirds and deer wandering around. Very nice pool that looked brand new. The surrounding area was beautiful but very far from any civilization. Be careful, the entrance is very easy to miss and if you have a large RV you may struggle to find a place to turn around (speaking from experience). It's basically self-serve. Someone is there for a couple hours on a Saturday. Interesting, very run down office to check me in. Otherwise, it almost seems like an honor system. It is very well kept, clean and safe. Cell service was very good. We won't stay there again because my son moved and it's too far away from anything, but if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle, this is the place.
