We arrived at Goddard Park on a Friday evening after making a reservation. I let the person taking our reservation choose our site which ended up being a mistake. We were placed in a pull through spot, which I requested, which was in a very packed in section of the park. Nearby were back in spots with not one RV lined up. If we were to go back I would definitely choose a different location. The sites are very close together and it seems that the bulk of the RVs are placed near the action of the snack shack and other amenities. We were very close to a nice bathroom, the snack shack, kids park, etc. but far away from the dog park which is the one amenity we use a few times a day. This is our fault, I should have checked the map better and picked a spot. I was not there when my husband parked our motorhome but he said the pull through site was pretty tight to fit into. The sites are way too close together in our opinion. Part of the park has RV sites like ours and part has more permanent park model type sites. There were golf carts everywhere. Like, hard to ride your bike around everywhere. While the park was clean (except cigarette butts thrown around our fire ring) and there are lots of amenities and activities, we would likely not book here again. It just doesn't suit us, too many people, too busy, tiny spots. This park is close to Sandy Lake where you can fish and bike and such so that's a big plus. The dog park is adorable. Unfortunately the dog washing station was broke when we were there but that would be so cool to be able to utilize. Very clean, nice grass, great size. Major downside for us--you have to walk past the petting zoo to access the dog park. Huge design flaw. Our dogs were already so excited and over-stimulated, seeing goats and chickens was just too much. A simple fix would be a gate on the other side.Pool--only 1 pool was open and it was not heated and was so cold. We have had a rainy spring in western PA so far so I'm sure that was a factor. Our son swam for 2 hours but it was too cold for most adults.
