We were pleasantly surprised. The approach was easy enough although our GPS routed us inexplicably through a neighborhood rather than directly off Marine Dr. Clean, well maintained, well spaced, level concrete sites, most of which appear to be pull-throughs. They do have many permanent residents, but all the rigs and sites look to be carefully tended to. There are clear warning postings regarding the potential for theft of items left untended or unsecured, so do heed that and if you have bicycles or other portable items of value, make sure they are locked up or inside at night. We were in site 112. Before you park, take a good look at your site for purposes of positioning with regards to slides. There is a tall metal post next to the electrical box, and then the water spigot is encased in a circular pvc box about maybe two foot high, 6 inches across, and it sits about 5 or 6 feet forward of the electrical box. We placed our right side trailer tires on the right edge of the concrete pad and the main slide came out just shy of the water box. Also, because of the placement of the sewer hole at the back of the site, our tank outlet midway up our trailer, combined with the placement required to clear the water and power boxes, it required our longest sewer hose combination (30 foot total) and just barely made it.There is cable, adequate cell signal, and wifi. HOWEVER, when I connected with the wifi I got the warning message that it was an unsafe site. The park instructions for the wifi said to go to the browser and sign in, but the sign in page never appeared, the wifi simply connected automatically. I chose not to use it. Location is good, near a bike trail, the river, several good restaurants. Noise, however could be an issue if the airport traffic and the regular fighter jets screaming by overhead bothers you. For us that’s just part of the ambience. If staying long term in the northwest were in our plan, this would be one of our choices.

  • Was hesitant but had a great stay!

The bigger concern for us was the fighter jets which were much louder! Not sure if that’s normal but that was a lot! The site and park are great and well maintained! They really pack you in tight but we were shocked at a fully occupied rv park and it was surprisingly quiet all the times. Barely saw people. The laundry was very clean and reasonably priced compared to many. The office had plenty of rolled quarters. The bathrooms and showers seemed to be cleaned every day which is amazing. Was very impressed with the cleanliness!

Very conveniently located to Portland and Vancouver, Washington. Super-clean, great staff. Sites aren't the largest, but they're well maintained. No pool, but you normally don't need that in Portland (except during the heat wave of 2021). That being said, we sure could have used one. Still, worthy of five stars!

Well maintained private rv park. Clean restroom & showers. Small grass area on each side of your spot. Short drive into Portland. Airplanes fly by & you can hear a train in the distance. We didn’t find either of these to be too loud at all.

  • Clean, convenient, lots of full timers

Staff were super friendly and accommodating - even responding immediately to see why I couldn’t get the water to work. NOTE: there are 2 water faucets... the one that works comes from the big silver box at your site, don’t use the spigot attached to the electric breaker box. Showers were clean, RV park was quiet, and there’s a decent little mini mart an easy walk down the road in case you forgot some necessities or need to quench a late night craving for a hot dog. Wi-Fi was terrible. Note about the “quiet”... there’s a significant amount of air traffic noise coming from PDX (Portland’s International Airport). This didn’t interrupt our sleep but when we eating dinner outside our rig it made carrying on a conversation challenging. We gave 4 stars for site quality because it lacked a picnic table - everything else was great. Overall, we liked this little RV park that’s home to a lot of full timers. If you don’t mind camping among the locals, this is a great place.

We have a 2006 sprinter, so if we wanted to stay for a while, we’d have to go elsewhere. The lake nearby is very pretty and makes for a really pleasant walk when it’s not so cold out. Cell service is also really decent, but I didn’t take note of exactly how many bars we had. We use verizon and at&t

I was very unhappy that we were put in a site number 5 that had known water pressure problems. By the time they moved us to site 144 it was 5 days later. When I asked for a credit for the inconvenience I was offered a free day. I can't use a free day. I wouldn't camp here again.

  • They saved us, and i love them for it.

The super friendly staff said if we could fit in a spot next to the shower building, we could stay for $20. Our 17 foot trailer fit right in and we were set. Despite being next tot he shower building, it was really quiet. We think most guests use their own showers and bathrooms in the RVs. We used the showers and they were hot, clean and awesome. just minutes form Downtown Portland, this place was perfect for our needs. Not a pretty park, but a great place to set up as a base camp and go explore the city for day or two.

We were in the worst section of the park. Most of the sites are very adequate with some grassy area between sites. The pads are concrete with a separate parking area. However, there is a section just past the office where the sites back up to each other which means you share your outside space. Sites 4 - 12 have very little outside space as that area really narrows. Sites 6 - 9 have a tiny square between them that they share. Their doors right across form each other, Very awkward! We, also, had no water pressure. The park said they would have someone come look at it but they never did. Pressure so low the water trickled out. Our pump did a much better job. The power was fine at low points of the day, but low at peak times. We were just on the verge of our Progressive box cutting out. We did have our power cut out two different mornings around 6:00 AM, then come right back on. The sites don't have picnic tables or fire rings but very nice grass. The park has WiFi but was too slow to use. The commercial jets start at 5:30 and the last flight was between 12:00 and 12:30 AM. The military jets are the worst. They are so loud you have to pause the TV because you can't hear. Thank goodness they only fly during the day and early evening. We arrived on eclipse weekend so we couldn't change sites. Just be aware of your site number and stay away from the sites mentioned above. Traffic leaving the area is bumper to bumper so biking is nice or use the train. The park is very well maintained and any other site would have been much better. The pull through sites are the nicest and worth $5 more. We wouldn't stay here again because of the traffic and noise.

In fact the light rail stops just 2 miles from here at the Expo Center so if you don't want to deal with parking in the city, it's a great alternative. It's just a regular RV park, no frills, but it is very clean and well maintained. Although there are lots of long-timers here, there are none of the ugly old rigs with scruffy outsides here. Note that although this is by the water, there is not really any access from the park. The Yacht Club opposite is private and the rest of the water front is covered with private residences, so not much scenic walking to be done from the park. The pull through sites are large and well-lit and not too close together. We didn't try the WiFi, but had good cell signal here. The airport is close but we rarely heard the planes. This seems like the best option to us for good value and proximity to the city. (Note our rate includes a Good Sam Discount)

Weekly and monthly rates are outstanding, but spots are limited since much of the park is occupied by permanents. Sites are basic paved with a small slice of grass between neighbors. Not much in the way of privacy, and you are close between RVs but everything is clean, and the owners are super friendly. It's super convenient for the airport which also means you'll hear airplanes regularly throughout the day, but otherwise it is quiet (we regularly come there over Memorial Day weekend to avoid the crowds). Location for exploring the city is fabulous. You can walk to the river boats on the Columbia River, bike from the park to the Columbia Riverfront trail and be just about anywhere downtown in around 15 minutes. Plus there's an excellent Thai (Pon Thai) that delivers right to your site the park. We stay here every time we're in Portland. The onsite WiFi is overloaded and slow, so I rely on cellphone data plan here.

The location is also great, shopping in Jantzen Beach is easy and getting into the trendier parts of NE Portland without all the fuss of highways is possible. I've stayed here a couple times now. If you have a trailer that is 25' or less, try getting spot 59. You are right at the entrance so there is some traffic but the flipside is the portside of your setup has it's own little grassy area and you are facing a hedge. It also makes it super easy to slip in and out of the park. The bathrooms are also right across from the spot and in general, you just avoid the reality of cementville. The airport noise doesn't bother me but it is noticeable.

Columbia River RV Park is the closest RV park I could find to downtown Portland. It's just a parking lot - so it isn't anything special. It's also right by the airport. The commercial planes aren't too bad, but the military jets crazy loud. The free wifi worked great and we used it the entire week we were here.
