From our spot we could hear live music on Friday night from the "Aw Shucks" oyster house next door, which we found quite enjoyable. Easy access to downtown Montgomery. While we were there 4/2/22 a tornado alert, and later a warning, was issued. We called Elmore County EMS and were advised that a public shelter was available at the Elmore Country courthouse in Wetumpka, only about 6 miles to the NE. We drove there, through a pounding rain, and sheltered with the locals for a half-hour or so until the threat passed. No damage at the RVP. Some fine forest walking/biking trails are located on Lake Jordan, NW of Wetumpka. Search for Swayback Bridge Trail.

All sites are pull thru with full hook ups and a small cement patio. Good spacing between sites and wide gravel roads, park laid out so you will have afternoon shade on your door side. Very neat and clean, fair number of long time stays, but not run down. Just off a main road so some noise. We didn't use restrooms or laundry. Good place to stay if you are visiting the Montgomery area.
