Better Than Average TT... great staff. Upcharge for 50 amp which we are used to and are fine with. Lots of annuals that visit their rig on weekends. 2 pools were very nice. Site 9 is convenient to both and is a nice wide and shaded site. Good place to meet family and enjoy camping.

B section is also close to the lake. Campground staff members Julie and Natalie were absolutely fantastic. Everyone that we interacted with was kind and helpful. Lodge and laundry are both open until 8:00pm. Machines were in good shape and the price was reasonable at only $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry. The welcome center has quarter rolls available for purchase. We also checked out some clubs to play putt-putt golf and it was a lot of fun. No wifi currently available in the park but cell service was decent. My AT&T phone had 2 weak bars and my wife's Verizon phone also had 2 bars. We were also able to program all of the major networks (ABC, NBC etc.) as over-the-air TV channels. Sadly we suffered a sugar ant infestation during our stay. Make sure to spread Over 'n Out ant killing powder around the perimeter of your rig. We forgot to do this and ended up paying the price.

We stopped by here on our way to Arizona. Since it was January the park was not full and thanks to Covid there were no activities going on. We ended up staying longer than we had planned to deal with some engine trouble. With our Thousand Trails membership our stay was free.

Nearby town is Whitesboro, if you need a store like Walmart, Aldi, any other big store, it’s a half hour drive to Sherman. We would love to stay here again.

They refilled propane tanks even at the worst of the storm. Many of them stayed in their campers during the worst of it, but gave us their emergency number in case we needed something which worked great. Roads are in decent shape, not the greatest but not super full of potholes or difficult to pass. Our site was super not level. Our fault for not paying attention to that when we picked it. Oh well, we worked around it. Wifi - not quite working when we were there most of the time. Cell service was better than some campgrounds. We got decent coverage with verizon/visible, eh with tmobile, ok with ATT and very limited with sprint. We managed to be able to connect and even stream a few shows with our weboost on the sprint hotspot we have. Emails, basic communication stayed consistent throughout even the storm for the most part.We did not lose water, but in the rolling power outages we did lose power on a 15/45 and 30/30 per hour rolling basis for several days. The whole state did, so that is not the park's fault. No one objected to our running the generator some when the power was out, others ran theirs too. Special circumstances and all. When they ran out of propane to refill tanks, they ordered a new delivery the next day and were able to keep everyone warm. At the end of the storm, maintenance came around to check all water/power connections and fix things. During the storm, very few staff if any were out in all of that. Which was how it should have been.We would like to stay here again at another time when it's not below freezing 13 of the 14 days we are there. We did make it over to the lake before the storm hit and it does have a decent amount of lake access at the back. Due to covid some things were still closed - activities and pavilions etc.

It was very crowded and uncomfortable. The neighbors are racist. And on top of that their restrooms are very dirty and have inappropriate writings on the wall. Wouldn't recommend AT ALL!!!

We got a site right in front of the playground, which made it convenient for our 5 year old to play with other kids at the park. Also, the sites closer to the family areas had more space than the ones further into the park. People there were all friendly, and the guy (I forgot to get his name) was super friendly and welcoming.

We purchased a Thousand Trails Zone Pass to encourage us to get out more often. We picked this Thousand Trails as it is relatively close and the reviews seemed pretty consistent. Arrival was pretty confusing as we got an email prior to arrival telling if we checked in online, we could go directly to a spot and advise via a link in the email as to the spot selected. Seemed pretty slick. I pre-registered and printed out my confirmation for my dash. Unfortunately, there was not way to get into the park without stopping at the front desk as the Ranger station was coned off. I mentioned that I had done the online checkin and the front desk person advised that they did not know why TT did that as everyone had to check in with them. I found a nice shaded spot and set up camp. The park was acceptable. The roads are pretty rough and the a number of the common areas are closed due to COVID-19. The restrooms and bathhouses we went in were in need of repair. They were usable but definitely need updating and refreshing. Lake access is though a gate that is open from something like 7AM - 10PM. There is a picnic area, a boat launch and a 'beach' for lack of a better term. We rode our bikes down to these locations and I think saw one other person on each of our journeys to the lake.Although it was hot, the shade made it very pleasant especially in the evenings. There were quite a number of campsites that were coned off so I'd assume they were out of order for some reason or another. I'd guess the park was about 70% or greater capacity of campsites that were open for use. That said, it was extremely quite at all parts of the day. We'd come back now that our expectations have been grounded. We'll also try the other Thousand Trails parks in the DFW vacinity.

No issues with check in but we were disappointed to find out that we couldn’t have visitors. We were planning to have my inlaws over for lunch. But we totally understood considering the current situation. A lot of stuff was closed but the pools were open. We did go to the pool one day and it was nice. I went on one section of a hiking trail. It had rained most of the night before but the trail was still easy to use and not very muddy. We went across the border to a casino for a couple of hours. We stopped for a drink and snack on our way back at Pelican’s Landing. Nice view of the lake from there. Back at the park we followed a sign directing us to the beach. Not sure what we expected but basically there was a small section where you could get in the water. We will definitely be back. We may try to get both sets of parents to rent cabins. I want to try pickleball when everything reopens and we would also play mini golf. Cell service was spotty for TMobile and Verizon.

Bathrooms are just ok but acceptable. Seems like there's a lot of permanent/long-term residents but still plenty of open sites available. At the time of this writing one of the swimming pools looked like a filthy swamp, although that could be due to a temporary power outage in some areas of the park. Easy lake access if you have a boat. And the mosquitoes are brutal so bring bug spray!Location: the park is situated in a pretty rural area so there's not much dining or shopping around (the nearest Walmart is 30 miles away). But it's pretty peaceful if you're looking to get away from the busyness of urban life. And to my surprise cell signal (Verizon) was pretty good for as rural as this place is.Also, if you're a beer or wine drinker, Grayson county is a mixed wet/dry county so you're not going to find anything in Gordonville. But if you cross the Oklahoma state line (go north on 377 for roughly 5 miles), 1-2 miles after crossing the state line there's a convenience store on the left that sells beer.
