Site was gravel and fairly level. Beautiful area. Downside staff is not very friendly and did not tell us that Wifi is an additional cost per device. But it was a short drive to Gettysburg

We stayed in late September 2018. We ended up here because it was one of the few campgrounds in the Gettysburg area that had vacancy, and we had no reservations. Easy check-in. The office has a small store with snacks and RV stuff. There is an entrance gate that you use your car pass to open. Gravel roads and sites with grass between. A mix of pull-thru and back-in sites, and mostly filled with seasonal and/or permanent renters. Lots of neighbors out talking and visiting. Large park with playground and pool in middle. You can rent golf carts there, too. Lots of communal activities such as pot lucks and music. Lots of children playing, too. It felt like a real summer camp. The showers were separate rooms with bath carpets and weren't very clean. I looked for the laundry facility and couldn't find it. It may have been closed. WiFi was good for checking emails. We were in a level water/electric pull-thru site in the lower section. Dump station was up by the park and easy to get to on the way out. It's only about 18 miles to the town of Gettysburg. It took us about 45 minutes on the motorcycle because we didn't want to take the freeway. Overall, this was a nice campground in a scenic area, however, if visiting Gettysburg, this was too much of a drive on the motorcycle to go back and forth. We will plan ahead and try to stay somewhere closer next time.
