The campground had a Pennsylvania state park feel to it. You will most likely need to level your RV to some degree as the sites are not much more than some gravel laid down for a parking pad. We were there on a very rainy weekend but the runoff seemed to be controlled. However, our RV seems to have sunk a little in the soggy ground. This campground by no means fits the build of a resort but I don't personally think that is a bad thing. With the campground basically at the park it would be great for families that want to separate and do their own thing. Reservations are hard to get. You should book out at least 1 year in advance. The cost is either $52 or $62 a night for Just for electric hookup. The $10 difference is if you have a 50 amp site vs a 30 amp site. There are a ton of water filling stations as you enter the park but there are no water or sewer hookups at any site. There are 4 dump stations. At checkout time you will be waiting to dump. Roads are tight. If the park was full I would have never gotten my trailer into my site. So I would recommend no bigger than a 26ft trailer with a 1/2 tow vehicle.Bathhouses seem to be decent. It was cold and there is no heat in the buildings or it wasn't on. Showers are the type you press in and get around 10-15 seconds of water. Also, you cannot adjust the temp. It is pre-mixed. I don't like a hot shower. I am usually on the lower end and barely cresting 100 degrees. I would say this was more like 105.The campground is huge. There is a shuttle to the park. Overall not bad but I wouldn't go back with my setup during the busy season.

PROS: Near amusement park. Strong 50 Amp service. Good dump station.CONS: High price: paid $54/night: outrageous. Spent over $200 at the park. Why so expensive for so few services? No water hookup. No wifi. No sewer. Relatively small campsite. Tight roads. No sewer at site. A little trashy.

  • Very nice, clean, family-friendly park. Very busy and bustling

The site was plenty spacious for our pup and TV, but was not level at all. In fact, none of the surrounding sites looked very level. We were right next to the bath house, which was great for being able to send our 6 year-old by herself, but pretty obnoxious as far as foot traffic was concerned. We had to ask several groups of kids not to walk through our site on the way to the bathroom. This campground was huge, and very crowded on the weekends. We arrived on a Thursday night, and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We were out and about during the day on Friday, and when we came back in the evening, it was packed. The place pretty much empties out during the day, as almost everyone walks over to the amusement park. Lots of families with small kids (makes sense with the amusement park), and everyone was very friendly and considerate. Only problem we had was people walking right through our campsite to get to the bathroom, as mentioned above. There is a pool, camp store and small playground on-site. Sites are well-shaded by tall pines, but very close together and not private at all. Roads are very narrow. Bath house was clean, but old. Toilets are very low to the ground. There were additional sinks with mirrors outside the bath house for hand washing/teeth brushing, as well as a nice deep dish washing sink. Overall, this is a great place for families, and the convenience of the amusement park can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in the woods, you may want to look elsewhere.
