My husband and I were looking online for a place to spend the night when a Sheriff’s vehicle pulled up beside us and asked if we were ok. We explained our situation and that we were looking for a place just for the rest of the night, because we needed to pull out in the morning. He told us he knew of a place and actually escorted us to the park and helped my husband back into the spot in the dark. Turned out, he was the owner of the park. We tried to pay him for the space, but he refused to take money from us “for doing a good deed. Besides, you are only staying a few hours.” He told us to hook up to the fifty amp service, and get a good nights sleep before pulling out.Not only was he friendly and helpful, he went way out of his way to help us. The next morning we could see the space was wonderful! Huge distance between spaces, incredible views, and privacy, with full 30/50 amp hookup. He won a customer for life that night. We will make it a point to stay at this park every time we are in the area. The space had a fire pit, complete with a stack of wood, and a picnic table. You won’t be sorry for choosing this place. We travel full time and were very impressed.

This parks name says it all. The sites are huge and level. All are spread out so you don't feel Cramer in. The views are amazing and Eric was very helpful with recommendations for things to do and see. I would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed the local prairie dog, chipmunk, and rabbit population. They’re super cute to watch. Just across the highway is a little river and a pond. It’s great for fishing but also for letting the pup swim. The town is small but close and boasts some really great home-town restaurants. We are digital nomads so WiFi is very important and the WiFi here is perfect. We had no issues! As bonuses, they come around and collect your trash each day and provide fire wood for your site. The host was very friendly and we just loved our stay. If they weren’t already booked, we would have stayed longer.

This was a beautiful place to stay. Eric the manager came by and gave every site wood for the fire pit and asked if everything was good. We stayed in site 5 and loved it.

The park abuts public lands with miles of hiking, and there is a paved bike trail that leads to a fishing pond and river access across the road. Eric, the manager, is great and very helpful with recommendations for dining, hiking, fishing, and biking in the area. At the time of our stay, free firewood was provided - just make sure you check for Red Flag Warnings before using it!It was a bit of a drive to Grand Teton National Park from here, but staying at such a spacious, quiet park was worth it. It's not far from Bridger-Teton National Forest, lots of great hikes, and miles of OHV trails. While this park doesn't have amenities such as a pool or playground, our son actually spent more time playing outside at this park than he had in a long time. Be advised that there are no restrooms in this RV park, but the sites are full hook-up. Also, the wind can pick up suddenly and be very intense at times - do NOT leave your awning out if you're not at your site. There is also no office on site, so you must call when you arrive.

We enjoyed the quiet stay here with lots of hiking for kids. No Verizon or ATT internet is you working on the road but the free WiFi is decent. Big sites easy to navigate. Close to nice small town!

  • Great wifi, beautiful if you like the desert, helpful manager and other guests

Eric was a bit laconic on the phone but super helpful and friendly when we arrived (plus he gave us spot #5 right next to the wifi repeater when my husband asked about reception). He's a deputy sheriff, plus runs The Perch coffee shop with his wife, so a busy man, but he was by regularly to check on things, pick up garbage and offer advice. He told us about a nice mtb ride nearby and hooked us up with a guy who was doing RV repairs while in town. You drive up past a sort of truck/equipment dump area and it doesn't seem promising but the RV spots are in a little canyon higher up. No shade or trees and if you don't like the desert this isn't for you. If you do, it's beautiful and the sky is amazing at night. Also, we loved the Xmas tree lights! The campground is on the badlands side of Dubois. The river goes through town and there are mountains on the other side. You have great views of the mountains from your spot. The spots are reasonably sized and level and have full hookups. There was a sewage smell from our sewer hook up but we just closed the drain until it was time to dump (and Eric is having someone take a look). Also, the water tasted a little weird so we just drank bottled. The wifi was great! I worked every day and did zoom calls. The wind was more of a problem (the day I tried to sit outside for a call), than the internet. There is a small mtb area at one end of town that's very fun. And nearby Whiskey Basin is gorgeous and has great hikes. The town park is good too (husband caught several fish in an hour).Town itself is a little bleak. Seems depressed -- dollar store is hopping and fully stocked but hardware store in middle of town is practically empty as is pharmacy. Real estate prices don't seem to be down though. We only drove by the other RV parks but at a first impression, The Longhorn is pretty and has some spots on the water although they looked more packed in and Windhaven is right on the water but is basically a gravel parking area with small spots. Either looked more than acceptable but we really loved the feel of Solitude and would return again.

We have an older 28’ rig and had no problems with the road in or backing into our spot for the night. After a quick walk around the property we decided we needed an extra day to explore. Eric stopped by our campsite after we arrived and hooked us up with an adaptor for our electric hookups and let us know about all the public land adjacent to the property that we could explore. Eric was very helpful and a great host! You can easily bike or walk into town from this campground as well. WiFi also works great. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

GENERAL: very spacious, wide gravel roads, 60 aces - hiking; biking; ATV and off road accessible; great customer service and got discounted rate when scheduling over the phone vs online. All sites are back-in, but plenty of space to navigate. SITE: Very spacious, very few neighbors and spread out when you do have neighbors; 50 amp only, but we have an adapter to 30amp so no issue; The starts at night were insanely beautiful!WIFI: We work remote and the wifi was surprisingly strong and good for working remote. Occasionally spotty for video calls, but good otherwise. We looked out to Hamburger Point. You feel you are alone in the great outdoors with a beautiful setting. OTHER: Walkable to downtown (about 1.5); Fishing and great walking path right across the street. We went to the rodeo on Friday night and the grounds are right across the street. The small town was historic and nice to walk around. Check out the Rustic Tavern and/or Outlaw Saloon for a drink while you're there! Very windy most of the day so we didn't keep our windows open unfortunately. Too much dust whipping around and gusty, although the roads were gravel, everywhere else around is dessert and dirt. Grocery is nearby - a bit pricey and the produce isn't that great, but was good for the necessities while in town.

Dubois isn’t quite as busy as Jackson and it has a nice small town feel. There is no campground office, so no showers or laundry, but it has full hookups and good WiFi. Site 9 is good if you need more space for toys, but you will have plenty of space no matter which site you pick. You can reserve online, but we called and received a weekly discount. No real check in, the owner was super flexible and nice. If you are arriving in the dark, this place is a little hard to find and would be challenging to get parked at. We arrived in the daylight and still passed it. The views in the pictures for the sites are real! There are no trees for shade.
