Nice quiet spot in a valley next to a river at the edge of a small village. Dave and his son Ben were very accommodating. Upon arrival, we asked for a different site away from other campers and he led us to a site in an empty row at the back with 30A and water hookups. There are only about 20 sites and they are a little farther apart than typical private campgrounds. Tent campsites 1 and 2 are roomy and isolated from the rest of the sites. They had firewood for sale, and Ben delivered the firewood right to our campsite and even offered to light it for us. No amenities or activities other than the water and electric at certain sites and the dump station. This is primarily a base camp for people who are hunting, fishing, or exploring the area. We ventured out to the nearby Fred Woods trail which is a nice loop along a promontory and through some clusters of huge boulders that were fun to explore. There is also a Top of the World vista (Bucktail Overlook) on the way to Fred Woods trail. Saw many elk in our travels in the area. The Driftwood Saloon and Grill is only 1 mile away and has excellent burgers and fries. The steak sandwich looked good, too.
